Having stayed in Julies guest house on quite a few occasions, also during the winter periods when working in Wales. She deserves the five stars for comfort cleanliness decor and service. I have also stayed in Criccieth, in hotels and B+Bs, some of good standard and some not so good. The Glyn-y-Coed simply the best. Jeff from Liverpool

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying for two nights at this delightful retreat. From a welcoming pot of tea on arrival to hearty filling welsh breakfasts served by proprietor Julie, the weekend could only be described as perfect. Rooms are airy, tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished to a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble, Julie's...

Stayed just 1 night on a driving tour of northern Wales - our host was very friendly and helpful, directed us to a great meal down the street at Dylan's which we would never have found ourselves. Everything in Criccieth is within easy walking distance, rooms are clean, quiet and generously sized, with a nice proper English breakfast. Would definitely...

We took our elderly parents away for a few days. When we arrived at the Glyn-y-Coed Hotel we had a warm welcome and were offered hot drinks. On our second day at the Glyn-y-Coed Hotel it was cold for my elderly parents and the fantastic and most helpful landlady (sorry did not get your name), suggested a visit to Borth-y-Gest,...

We have just spent an amazing week at the Glyn-y-Coed Hotel in Criccieth. Julie was a mine of information on the local area and places to visit and eat. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was really comfortable. The views from our window were spectacular over the bay and castle. We had a really warm welcome...

Excellent location. Highly recommended accommodation. Super room with view of the sea and the castle. Outstanding breakfasts - nothing too much trouble for Julie and her staff - and all with a smile. Great choice of restaurants within walking distance and the location is ideal for exploring the local area.
