Best thing about this hotel was the shower! One had to ask for a bath mat for inside-nothing to step out on. Room reasonable-would have preferred the double bed to be left there-paid extra for a single room-side lights for a double. Do not expect fancy food-fish for dinner -fair-the best choice!1st hotel of any grade that I have stayed...

Dear liz1910, I was sorry to see that you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay at the George IV Hotel. It is explained in the hotel information that bath mats are available on request. As you booked a single room, you were allocated a single room, this room was not a double with a single bed put in...

Food was average and served far too early. No time for a lay down and a shower before dinner at 6.15 pm !!! I'm not one to criticise people who work in the hospitality trade coz it is a difficult profession but the Manager of this hotel is very grumpy. He shouldn't be in the hospitality trade. Needs to go...

Dear Marion G, I was sorry to see that you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay at the George IV Hotel. I was a little surprised by your comments as the hotel manager, Hamid, often receives praise for the service he provides and the hotel has won many Leisureplex ‘Hotel of the Year’ awards. I would like to...

After a two year break we again stayed at the fabulous George Hotel for a long weekend break. Excellent rooms with comfortable beds, Modern bathrooms or should I say Shower rooms ? as all the bathrooms have been renewed and all have wonderful powerful showers. A super lift that accommodates up to nine persons is quite and quick. The restaurant...

We stayed here with Alfa Tours and were very impressed . There were 3 tours in at once but you would not know it as meal times were staggered so when you sat down your water/ waitress was with you right away. Our waitress deserves a special mention , Magda, as she was so happy in her job it was...

This hotel very much caters for the over 60s coach tour market. . It has a strange smell which is a little off putting. The room was ok apart from being stiflingly warm, however the bathroom was truly horrific. I have never been in a hotel bathroom quite so awful. There was literally nothing nice about it. Awful tiles, no...

My break was with Alfa travel. Our coach was almost full. We arrived in time for dinner from the southern transit point Reading. A fairly long tiring journey made a little easier by Alan the driver, a charming & well informed man. . After a very good dinner & a couple of drinks at the bar ( only £2.90 for...

We have just spent a very enjoyable five days at the George IV hotel in Criccieth. The rooms were a good size and although a little dated were very comfortable. Only real downside was a small tv which could not be seen when sat on the bed and wanting to watch the Olympics was very uncomfortable on dining type chairs....
