Just spent a three night break at this hotel and a very relaxing experience. I had a single room on the third floor which was clean, spacious and comfortable, including the bed. Meals were very good with a very welcoming choice from the menu. Staff were polite and dining room staff were excellent. Hotel ideally situated for Ffestiniog Railway and trip...

Last week spent 5 days at the George, courtesy of AlfaTravel. This was my second stay at the hotel which I guess says something. Check-in was easy and my case was taken to my room. The room itself was on the second floor and I had a nice view of the meadows out the back of the hotel. I had...

The main public rooms were cold. Most of the bedrooms cold too. My bedroom was over the kitchen/laundry area with noise starting at 5 am. Manager very abrupt and unapologetic when asking for a different room, and unable or unwilling to move me. If you like bingo , old fashioned singers average food and holiday camp atmosphere then stay here.

Really enjoyed staying here. Our waitress was excellent, always had a smile and remembered what we liked. All staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Room was good, newly decorated, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Enjoyed the quizzes each evening.

This was the first time we booked with Alpha and couldn't fault anything about the experience. The food, hotel service, entertainment was excellent. As already stated in another review the only thing we could complain about was the weather...

clean bedding in a room that left a lot to be desired, black mould, on window sill, wallpaper not quite attached to the wall and an unknown stain by the side of the bed. The food was edible but unexciting.
