I arrived on the 1st June & the weather was absolutely horrendous. The wind and rain were hurricane force !!! This is a truly superb hotel overlooking the sea. The bedrooms are extremely well appointed & could quite easily pass for a four star rating ! As I played golf the full Welsh breakfast sustained me until the evening meal...

We stayed for a week in May 2015. We booked a sea view room on the second floor, and the room and the view were both well worth paying a little bit extra for. All the facilities were spotless, and the service in the restaurant and the choice and quality of food were excellent. It was a rare treat among...

Without a doubt, this must be the best situated hotel in Criccieth standing, as it does, overlooking Criccieth bay. The views from our bay window (Room 16) were amazing and the sounds of the waves gently breaking on the beach about 50 metres away were soothing and soporific. The hotel is beautifully presented and the bedrooms (judging by the one...

The Caerwylan was an amazing hotel with equally amazing views and staff. Great place to go for a short holiday to get a quiet rest with plenty of friendly folk. We had room 27, which had a beautiful view of the ocean and the castle. We would keep the windows open and fall asleep to the loll of the waves.

Excellent location, immaculate, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was bright and airy although we were actually on the back of the hotel. We had wanted a sea view but had not previously booked and had called in on the off chance of a room.

After a grey overcast long winter we decided a short break to blow away the cobwebs would be a good idea. Four of us travel regularly together and we fancied a hotel by the sea... this fitted the bill exactly. What a find!! fantastic views from rooms 15 and 16 straight out over the sea. Lovely spacious rooms, excellent bathroom,all...

We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay for two nights in April. Nothing to fault at all. The room was great, and we ate a hearty breakfast. The location is lovely, with easy access to all parts of Criccieth.

Stayed at the Caerwylan last September and returned recently for a 4 night Easter break. Hotel is spotless, décor pleasing, excellent food and service in the Tonnau restaurant. Staff are all polite, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Very comfortable, spacious bedroom ( executive double room) and bathroom both furnished and decorated to high standard. Stunning views from hotel's sea...
