We stayed in Mill Cottage and we were delighted with the standard of the property. It was clean, warm, well-equiped for self catering, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor and upstairs is the kitchen and living area. The kitchen has both a dishwasher and a washing machine which we found useful. The...

We were going to book a room as B&B but they couldn't offer it for the weekend we wanted, so instead we were offered the Beili Stable, self catering. The accommodation was clean, the lounge and kitchen spacious and well equipped. The double bedroom wasn't spacious but was OK as we had the rest of the cottage to move around...

We stayed at the b&b for our friends wedding in December. The hosts, Cathy and Dave were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. The accommodation itself was brilliant and very well appointed. The views out onto the Monmouthshire countryside were spectacular, I'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

We had the best time here over Christmas. The accommodation was perfect right down the the Christmas tree and decorations. Very clean and the rooms are all a good size, we stayed in the Cider cottage which allowed us all space to feel we were not on top of each other. We will be going back again that's for sure.

We have stayed a few times now at Penylan Farm and each stay has always been superb, whether as B&B guests or staying in one of the well appointed cottages. The owners Dave and Kathy Bowen are fantastic hosts and are more than happy for you to walk around the farm and on their land. If you want a really...

Needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights close to Stonemill as attending a wedding there. This was perfect unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owners as they were away but the key was in a safe place and everything was perfect. Would like to stay longer next time

Cathy and her husband are perfect hosts. As you would expect from the name Pen y lan is a hill farm in the gentle rolling hills above Monmouth. Great setting, lovely views and great hosts. The farm house offers Bed and Breakfast and the well appointed farm buildings are offered either on Bed and breakfast or Self Catering basis. Like the...

“Our room in the main house was small but lovely, next time would choose the Mill (self catering accommodation) for the small extra price.”

“Whether in the farm house or the farm buildings all are very high standard. Choose Mill cottage as a couple or young family. Larger farm building conversion looks good for larger groups.”
