New owners since my last visit and still a good standard. Nice warm comfortable room. Handy for the interesting town and ideal for hikers in the region. The welsh cooked breakfast is a delight , made from quality ingredients and cooked beautifully. I also had an evening meal which was gourmet standard at more modest prices that is usual. Fully... We went to this restaurant for lunch on a Friday. The service was good. Our waitress was Clair. It's a modern and clean looking eatery. The food was tasty. Mine was served on a slate a bit old hat and which I don't particularly like. A white porcelain plate would a better. The only reason I didn't give this a... More

stayed one night to go to a show at the local theatre. The room was basic but clean, good for the price, if being picky one would say requires more attention to decorating.Bed was clean and comfy, all in all ok

Needed a seat and a hot drink after a long walk. The man who served us made it very clear that he was tired and didn't really want to. He said it would take about 10 mins to make 4 our drinks, and sighed as he said it. If it was busy, we'd understand it but there appeared to only... More

Stayed 2 nights 2-3 October. Very good value and service. Noted some reviews criticised rooms but if picky you could say some need of decorative improvement, I can only say bed and room comfortable. Service friendly and attentive. I could not fault and in in view of good rate quoted, would have no hesitation in returning. Thanks to all staff.

Stayed three nights at this establishment in Rooms 1 and 2. No opening window in Room 1 with just a skylight. Room 2 has a small window that opens up. Room 1 was very stuffy and hot and my sister struggled to sleep with the skylight uncovered. Room 2 was adequate. The stay was pleasant enough though there are house... More

I needed to stay in Monmouth for business and saw #7 Church Street on the internet and it looked ok. I booked over a week ahead and received confirmation of my booking. When I arrived at the hotel at around 7pm I think I got one of the last few spaces in the car park at the rear of the... More

The staff were so helpful, friendly, welcoming and hardworking. The very reasonably priced accommodation was beautifully decorated with pretty views in the lovely town of Monmouth. After walking for about 17 miles I was so grateful to find a bath(as well as shower) in the ensuite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, The room also had complimentary tea and yummy biscuits. The food... Location very good, in the centre of Monmouth. Food very good if rather expensive. The rooms we saw very tired and in urgent need of updating. We booked for one nights b& b after our daughter's wedding as we had had a good evening meal here previously. We also booked for two other couples who attended the wedding. The rooms... More
