We planned a short break with my parents to celebrate my dad's 87th birthday. It took some time to decide on a hotel that would suit our needs. Once we decided to stay in Portmeirion the next decision was where to stay, the Hotel or Castell Deudraeth. We made the right choice! We booked two 'grand' rooms - a small...

We stayed within the village and after a disastrous booking fiasco the hotel sorted us out, instead of a double room the sorted us out a family villa. the place was fantastic, the villa outstanding and the meal in castell Deudraeth was top notch with impeccable service.

Our short break to Portmeirion was idyllic, and this is mostly down to the stay we had at Castell Deudraeth. We felt relaxed as soon as we set foot in the large, calming Castle 8, where a decanter of port was waiting for us. Dinner in the Castell Brasserie was a delicious affair. We started with aperitifs in front of...

A beautiful stay in the Penthouse suite. The suite is huge with a living area, huge comfortable bed and pillows, 2 x tvs, great lighting, a fab closet room for putting all your stuff, a kitchen with free bottled water, kettle, and a great selection of teas and coffees. Also a lovely bathroom with a cool shaving/make-up mirror. And a...

This was hands down the best hotel stay of our entire UK holiday; the staff were excellent and very friendly, the restaurant was first class, and building itself was beautiful. Our room had its own gas fireplace and the ensuite had towel warmers. It's a little pricey but well worth the money for the life long memory. Can't recommend it...
