Absolutely wonderful stay with Hazel & her staff. Couldn't fault a single part of our weekend. Excellent food, wonderful host's, fabulous rooms & the most welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Hazel & all the staff for such a wonderful weekend!
We have been to this hotel for the amazing food several times and just got back from our first weekend stay. The food has always been delicious and very well presented. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious and the beds are very comfortable so much so that my son didn't want to get out of his the next morning and missed breakfast for an extra hour in bed. We especially enjoyed the nice little touches in our room like tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, chocolates and sherry, fresh towels and soaps, The view from our room was stunning. We look forward to our next visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you hazel and all of the staff at bishops gate for a wonderful weekend.
Lovely, small and very friendly hotel. We only stayed for one night and will definitely return. Hazel the owner was so friendly and helpful. Our dog was made so welcome. Rooms were lovely and bed very comfy. The bar was very cosy and warm. We ate in the restaurant, the smoked haddock was delicious as was the crime brûlée and sticky toffee pudding. Would definitely recommend.
We have stayed maybe 5 times and always had a very nice time. Lovely rooms and great beds. The food is of a very high standard, with a great choice of food, and the staff are realy nuce. the hotel is cosy with open fires. The area is great and in the spring and summer months its lovely to go out on a boat trip. Its a place we love. Please go and enjoy.
Came to get away for Christmas. Hazel the owner is just amazing. When I arrived I had the opportunity to upgrade to a deluxe double. What a beautiful room. Staff are so friendly. The restaurant certainly did not disappoint I highly recommend it. She took the time and trouble to put snacks out in the lounge for everyone. Definitely well worth a visit 💕 Thank you so much for your very kind hospitality guys and keep up the excellent work 💕
I have visited Beaumaris many times and overlooked this venue as it doesn’t stand out on the high street. I came for dinner with my family and was delighted by the ambience, amazing service from Nicola and fantastic food cooked by Hazel. I cannot recommend highly enough … we will be back again.
Desperate for a break I originally booked this hotel via Lastminute.com - (Never again) the Lastminute booking process was a terrible experience and when i tried to amend it things went horribly wrong and I lost all my money. I contacted the Hotel and spoke to Hazel, the owner, who did everything in her power to try to help us. She was so wonderful we decided to carry on and have our holiday anyway, paid for it all over again, and attempt to retrieve the original money via the bank when we got home. When we arrived with our 2 dogs we had a warm welcome and throughout our stay Hazel and her staff were professionalism personified. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is elegant, charming and comfortable. The food was fabulous! The breakfast was beautifully cooked and the evening meal was sensational. In future i will never use a booking agent again, i will go direct. I would definitely go back to Bishopsgate House Hotel. Beaumaris is a lovely town with a great friendly environment, but the beach is very small.…
Our first visit to Beaumaris, with friends who know the area well and who recommended we should eat eat at Bishopsgate House on our last night. This turned out to be a brilliant recommendation I’m only sorry we didn’t eat there the night before as well! In fact, I’d go so far as to say that the rump of lamb dish I had was one of the best meals I have had anywhere and I know everyone enjoyed their dishes (2 Beef Stroganoff and a Salmon) every bit as much. These were followed by delicious puddings - my Crème Brûlée was amazing, with a perfect crisp, caramelised top! We started with a G&T in the lounge before being invited through to our table and everything about the evening was superb - our welcome, the service and general ambience of Bishopsgate House made it a perfect evening. The best way I can describe it is to say that it felt a ‘special’ place to eat - a bit of a treat and excellent value. Having been introduced to Hazel, the owner, I gather that she has kept the same two chefs for something like eighteen plus years and I can see why. Three days on now and I have just about stopped boring everyone with how fantastic my lamb was, but I think it will be a while before I taste better! Thank you Hazel and staff - it’s a ten out of ten from me! If you’re visiting Beaumaris, then make Bishopsgate House Hotel a ‘must eat at’ destination - we’re hoping to visit again next year and booking a table will be the first thing I do. Maybe two nights next time!…
Great weekend at Bishopsgate House Hotel again - first visit this year. All was fantastic again, quality services from Hazel and the team. Service was of very high standard and evening meal ditto. Look the breakfasts - legend... Till the next time.. Oh can you tell the seagulls to have a sleep in next time we come .... Great time had by all and others who we met.. H&Dxxx
A small, yet very comfortable hotel with lots of character! Friendly, welcoming staff and excellent food. Good location with a small but handy car park at the rear. Dog friendly too, there is a convenient green area just across the road. We hope to return.
