Food was lovely, staff very friendly and polite. Very nicely decorated. Food presented nicely and portions were decent sizes. Very clean and hygienic. Brilliant choice on menu and drinks menu is good too.

Great staff, very friendly and went out of their way for our party. Decor needs touching up in parts but besides this, all very well accommodated for. Breakfast very nice and were happy to make alterations to satisfy our needs.

Stayed for one night and it was ok. The decor needs updating and a good clean. The staff where all very polite. My room was good but not to a high standard, just little things like dirty stained carpet and the noise from the main road and the town clock sounded on the half hour and hour through the night.... Had a family meal here for a birthday. The staff were great, couldn't do enough for us. The food was slightly hit and miss with some out meals... Most were really nice, presented well, but felt mine was a little over done(I had taverners chicken)... Some of the others agreed too. But it was still a lovely evening and everyone... More

Clean, and welcoming. Only down fall was a need for updating. But as a last minute booking we where very happy and comfortable. The staff where very friendly and helpful. We also used the bar restaurant and the food was nice. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

Although the property is a little dated and the Brewery could do with improving the furnishings - the courtyard rooms are very nice and very spacious. Spoiled by a little bad TV reception, the only other disappointment was microwaved bacon and sausage at breakfast. Nice setting in a Historic Town Centre with some very friendly people.

Lovely relaxing weekend booked here . The manager and team were very nice and our room in the courtyard was absolutely lovely . The only things that let this establishment down are the menu which was very poor no locally sourced produce just chain venue food and decor inside needing a lick of paint such a shame as the building... Just stayed here on a last minute deal. It's an old historic building so has some character. The rooms could do with an update but they were very clean, bed linen and towels were spotless. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly happy to go the extra mile to help.

We stopped at the bull for the sandman triathlon weekend lucky for us it was just the bed we needed. The room was very dated and marked the bathroom was dirty. The food was just ok. The whole place needs decorating as there are stains all over the place. There was a shortage of staff as we always seemed to... More
