Had lunch for three people and the food was excellent. It was Pie Tuesday so we all ordered the pie and pint for £10. good value, but what is not on the menu is that it only covers J W Lees drinks. Guinness , cider and coffee obviously do not count. So when the bill came we were charged £13.45 for the pies. Why not £10 we asked... To get over the problem they had to add 3 pints to the bill £11.55 that reduced the bill by £21.90 ( 3 x £3.45 plus the cost of the 3 pints) what a palaver. But as said we will go back as the food was excellent.

We stopped for lunch and didn’t hold out much hope of finding much on the menu for a vegan and gluten free person. How wrong were we! Lots of choice and the easiest to navigate menu for dietary restrictions and allergies. Had the cauliflower steak with chips (cooked on a separate gf fryer so I’m told) and was hands down the best gf vegan meal I had in my 2 weeks in the UK. Could not recommend it enough. Thanks you staff!

The dining area is very relaxed but the service from the staff was excellent. It was busy but we weren’t left waiting. There was a good selection of food to choose from. All of our dishes were excellent, very tasty and well presented, they were large portions though. Thank you to all staff (front of house and kitchen) for a lovely meal.
