I stayed for 4 nights, for the 'March Manouche' festival in Menai Bridge. I was in the economy double, which had everything you would expect, at less than half a typical double room price. Food and beer are well priced, and excellent. This is a no-nonsense hotel, offering a good time on a budget. The staff were all very helpful...

I work at the University of Bangor but am based in Aberystwyth. When I do go up to Menai for work, I stay here. There's a good mix of people in the bar most nights, especially on a Friday. The beer is great, the rooms are good and the atmosphere is very nice. Ignore the bad reviews from years ago,...

I stayed here for a night with my partner. Our stay was pleasant and the staff were extremely friendly. The Auckland Arms is a 10 second walk from the Menai Strait, fantastic location! Dogs are also welcome which worked out great for us. When we were introduced to our room we were extremely surprised with how big it was and...

Stayed for the week, while looking for accommodation to live in Bangor. And the very helpful staff in fact as well as being very polite and very accommodating, managed to put me in contact with a landlord. And so am writing this review from said accommodation. Look forward to the next excuse to stay there.

Great spot for an exploratory walk around Menai Bridge or dinner at Dylans. Accommodation we found to be clean and basic. Nice evening ambience in bar, proprietor Adey takes pride in his rum collection. Also cooks a mean full breakfast.

Have just stayed at the Aukland Arms B and B for one night after a recommendation. Very spacious room with good sized bathroom. The ground floor accommodation was excellent for our little dog. The Aukalnd Arms pub is extremely dog friendly too. A very warm welcome from the landlord and bar staff. An excellent breakfast at a lovely relaxed pace....

I stayed for two nights in August with a dive club. The new management worked really hard to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. They were very welcoming, helpful and considerate - including making sure the lively bar was no trouble at all for divers getting up early. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The large cooked breakfast...
