Bit of a cheat as this pub is my local. It is situated in beautiful surroundings. The welcome, the food and the ambience all go to make it a good visit. It is well situated for the abundace of walkers to the area. It is the oldest pub in Wales and said to be haunted and holds regular haunted evenings.

We visited the Skirrid Inn, For a plate of Sunday lunch, We didn't have to wait for long, They're a very hardworking bunch! The meals we ordered were wonderful, We had fish and turkey and veg, Not all on the same plate, of course, And we certainly felt very well fed! The dessert menu looked delicious, But we were all...

This place is about 1000 years old. How cool is that. Stopped and had a few drinks while exploring Wales. Friendly staff, overall cool place. A must stop if in the area. Check the opening times. We got there but it didn't open until 11 or 12 pm.

This is a fantastic historical pub, with a great location and interior. However it misses getting full marks as the choice of ales was pretty basic. Didn't have food but looked standard fare. With a tiny bit more work this could be an amazing pub and not just a good pub.

We stayed at the skirrid inn on the Thursday evening, we checked in rather late which wasn't an issue, we were greeted by a lovely bar lady & the locals were pleasant enough talking & offering directions to an attraction we were going to later than evening, the room was dated but I feel it right to leave it that...

I haven't been here for many many years, so as I was driving past the other day, I decided to introduce my husband to this olde worlde pub. Upon arrival, the fire was roaring and the pub felt very welcoming. Unfortunately, they had just stopped serving food, but we managed to get a nice table next to the fire, just...

5* staff and food, love the bar area and log fire. Rooms are fine and clean. Its homely, the place is 100's of years old. Don't go if your wanting clean lines and an almost clinical feel to a hotel. I loved the 4 posted beds in rooms 1 and 2 and room 3 had a wrought iron bed. I Slept...

A very nice country pub with great views. Good place for a pint and a mewal after a walk on the hills - or if you are in the area then visit by car for lunch or evening refreshments. Highly recommended.
