We stayed here at the weekend . We booked a few weeks in advance, so we were limited on choice in the area! We paid ÂŁ200 for 2 nights.. it's a bit pricey for a hotel but then our room was the size of a flat so on reflection not that bad. It was clean & had towels & tea/coffee facilities. There is an extra charge of ÂŁ5 per night for the car park, there are about 10 spaces. If you want breakfast there, it's an extra ÂŁ6 50 an adult & ÂŁ4 under 10's, we didn't eat there so can't comment on that. The room was huge as it had 2 really good-sized bedrooms & a bathroom plus a hall area. The strange thing for us was that there was a shower & sink in each bedroom & the 'bathroom' only had a toilet! The bed was an uncomfortable double bed & the 2 single beds weren't much better. The paintwork all needs doing & there was some mould on the ceiling in the bedroom (probably due to the shower in there!!) Due to its location, you do hear the road noise. We were luckily on the top floor, so we didn't have anyone above us as previous reviews mention noise from floorboards. We didn't experience any noise from the bar, it shut up early-9.00! The staff we met were nice & friendly.

We had the last room available, it was on the 1st floor (and middle floor). It overlooked the main junction of the entrance to the town centre but with windows closed did not create as much traffic noise as we expected. The room was a twin bedded type and the beds were average, although linen was clean and fresh. The shower was excellent as were the tea and coffee provided. The only negative was the amount of noise/vibration noticed from the room directly above. The occupants may have been wearing Army boots but the hotels old floors ruined a peaceful nights kip, and deducted a 'star' for our review. It is worth pointing out that other rooms may not experience similar issues. The car park has about 10 spaces for a small daily charge. The breakfast charge of ÂŁ6.50 was considered very good value for a cooked breakfast and plenty of tea/coffee and fruit juice. The bar is very nice and also serves as a restaurant with several commenting on good priced dishes and excellent Sunday roast. The bar prices are also very reasonable. Staff are really pleasant and are keen to assist. The hotel is well worth consideration when visiting Haverfordwest since its perfectly central. There is occasional entertainment which can be very lively but stops at closing time.

Had to get away for a night after recently becoming a widow . Booking was easy, checking in was to but be careful of the step to go into reception/bar area as I fell up it. Upon arrival I’ve paid for my room and for breakfast the next morning, breakfast costs £6.50. My room was up in the rafters and was very clean and immaculate. The only downside was I had to sit on the bed the whole time I was there,…a chair would have fit next to the radiator to alleviate this. I went downstairs around 6pm for evening meal, and went to the bar asking where the restaurant was, went into a small dark area with roughly 6 tables. I sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for someone to come and take my order… Eventually I’ve got up went to the bar and asked if there was any menus, I was given when I went back to my seat browse through it. Then I had to go back to the bar to order. Prices were out of this world I had chicken goujons for starter, hunters chicken with chips, onion rings and a salad for my main and a gorgeous lemon tart with ice cream for dessert. To drink I had a double archers and lemonade… all of the above cost me £31 which I thought was very good value for money. I slept as well as can be expected in a strange bed until I heard the couple next door talking, for such an old building the walls must be really thin. The traffic starts moving around 530 A.m. and I couldn’t go back to sleep, I went down for breakfast and in the restaurant were what I can only describe as workmen having theirs, I was not shown where everything was I was just told it was help yourself, I got myself a coffee which cost me £6.50!!!
The only downside I did not like about the hotel is the stairs, for someone with bad knees and hips it was a nightmare walking up and down 4 flights .

Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately quite disappointing.
Positives: The room had a few helpful features, like a desk and plenty of sockets with USB ports, there was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room. The lobby and public areas seemed recently refurbished and looked nice.
Negatives: Once we got to our room, however, we noticed numerous issues. The room itself was so tiny you had to alloys shuffle sideways to get round to the other side of the bed, the bed was uncomfortably firm as well as being on a slight angle so you felt like your feet were slightly higher than your head, and pillows like cardboard. Noise was a constant issue, with thin walls that didn’t block sounds from other guests, especially when people came back drunk at 4am and didn’t pass out for a while after, then we could hear their snoring. Additionally, there were several maintenance and cleanliness problems : squeaky floorboards either upstairs or in the corridor, knocking pipes when other rooms used water / heating, a dirty extractor fan, crumbs and food under the bed, cobwebs and unfortunately, visible black mold and grime under the taps and in and around the shower cubicle. Even the toilet seat felt cheap and fragile.
Parking was a bit of a frustration—although it costs £5, this was not clearly mentioned online, nor were the directions to the parking area.
It’s a shame that the refurbishment seemed to stop at the bedroom because downstairs looks lovely.

Recently had a stay here with family as we were going for a trip to Oakwood. We had booked 2 rooms, 1 cosy double and 1 deluxe. The deluxe was very spacious, the cosy double was a smaller room but sufficient had everything in the rooms, hairdryer, iron board, kettle, towels. we opted for breakfast it was 5.00 per adult and 2.50 per child unlimited breakfast which is a bargain, fresh hot and tasty. Staff went the extra mile to make the stay memorable, very attentive. The rooms were very clean, beds were crisp! Thank you County Hotel.

Stayed in this hotel on new years eve. On checking in at the bar all seemed nice and friendly. Asked if they were serving meals that evening and was told no, so asked if we were to go out for food would we loose our parking spot, was told it would be ok as the hotel was only half full. On checking in were told there was a karaoke that night and we would hardly hear it, but what she forgot to mention was that our room was directly on top of karaoke. Phoned down to see if we could be moved to another room as it was extremely noisy and couldnt even concentrate on tv as it was so loud. Tried phoning downstairs and they finally answered 3rd time, probably couldnt hear phone ringing. Asked if we could me moved to a quieter room and was told the hotel was FULL , but the girl we seen on checking in had already told us they were half empty. Complained in morning and were told they would sort something out for us as a good will gesture for the noice. I must say staff are lovely face to face but thats as far as it goes. More faces than the town clock, as nobody has been in touch and its now Jan 19th. So if you stay at this hotel and you have a problem be aware theyre customer care is non existent, i would go as far to say they have never heard of customer service. Recently stayed at a Premier Inn just about half a mile up the road with lovely restaurant next door, really good value for money and really looked after us.

Stopped on the off chance for a bite to eat. We were met with friendly and very efficient service at good prices. The food was absolutely delicious and served on lovely crockery and polished cutlery. Highly recommend!

Just had another stay here. Bang, slap in the middle of town with parking. All the staff you meet smile and say hello inc the cleaners! The hotel isn’t the Ritz but in terms of cleanliness, comfort and value for money it’s my go to place in the town. There’s lots of options in the town but the Premier Inn is a taxi ride if you have a drink or don’t drive. I’d recommend but don’t forget it’s a budget stay.

Where to start, there are a lot of decent reviews on here for the place, but sadly this is not one of them.
ill start with the most disturbing thing on my stey.
I was sat in the Bar (also doubled as the 'reception'. a couple who checked in came down and complained about their room. there were no hangers, no drawers, no bedside table, and the room smelt of smoke and he had paid (as he said) over ÂŁ500 for his stay.
The staff attempted to empathise with them and apologised, but offered no real resolution as there wasn't another room for them to go to in the place....suggesting it was fully booked.
They did sort out some air fresheners however, and im sure with a little bit of thought someone could have gone the 500 metres up to the road to the large supermarket and bought some hangers. however, that didnt happen.
what did happen was that after the gentlemen left the public area to return to his room, the staff berated him in open forum, 'what does he expect' was said, followed by a torrent of how bad he was and then ridicule, to which a couple of the 'regular' patrons joined in.
When the couple went out, they were heard to say,'there goes happy'.
So thats the first and probably the worst thing, followed by the number of F words that are used in conversation by the staff, in front of the public. dreadful professionalism.
The room was so small as i opened the door the door touched the bed, the reason the chap complained as there is no room to put a suitcase, so if there are no hangers, no drawers and no bedside table you have to live out of your case, which there is no room to leave open. oh and the photos here and on the website..... creative angles making the rooms look bigger.
The room was very hot, but a simple no to a request of a fan, they dont have any. luckily there is also a tesco Extra a couple of miles away where i was able to purchase one.
The car park is NOT free as it states, it costs ÂŁ5.00 per day.
lots of items not available on the menu, i couldn't face being booked in for breakfast, but macdonalds is a short drive away
All in all, a dreadful stay in, at best a B&B but certainly not a hotel.

I must have stayed in more than 1000 hotels and this is in the bottom 3! From the litter strewn and weed covered car park, when you step inside it is not much of an improvement. The very dated bar area - serving cheap drink to the locals - incorporates what professes to be reception? The bedroom was no better, a toilet needing extensive flushes, a 20inch TV (in 2024) and decades old other furnishings leaves much to be desired (and regretted). Yes, the pillows are fluffy - but overall I would suggest sleeping in your car is a better bet. Unless of course comfort and service from the 70s is what you desire. Dreadful and 'must do better' doesn't touch it...
