Nice friendly welcome. Able to check in till quite late. 21:30. Helpful staff, very comfortable bed and facilities. Breakfast was tasty, in a spacious dining area. The bar area is snug. The whole building has a lovely feel to it. The only not so great thing we noticed was- we could hear the neighbouring room flush the loo. The water...

Whilst staying at the Knighton Hotel, I ate in the restaurant twice. I have been known to be called fussy and I didn't like anything on the menu. The waiter spoke to Paul the Chef, who said that he could accommodate my needs and make a fish dish. I eat out regularly, I have eaten at posh restaurants, celebrity chef...

First surprise was the hotel - smart, handsome, imposing and in a big village (population 3,000+ ... yes, I looked it up) where there was lots to offer even in mid December. After that the surprises continued. Warm, cosy, spotlessly clean, helpful friendly staff, super breakfasts with loads of choice. We stayed in Room 14, spacious and bay windowed at...

Overall reasonable value for money. No outstanding aspects but neither were there any major issues.Timed our visit to coincide with the Medieval Christmas Fayre in Ludlow - an excellent day out. Lovely countryside, particularly for walkers, and several other attractions within reasonable travelling distance, e.g. Powis Castle. We found Room (22) acceptable - OK it's a little on the small...

My mum and I got a Travelzoo deal to stay here which was £99 for 2 nights bed and breakfast. This was a huge saving and definitely worth it. The hotel is very relaxing, warm (literally nice and warm!) and welcoming. Staff were all friendly and helpful at all times. Checking in and out was quick and easy. We stayed...

We stayed on a Travelzoo deal + an extra night whilst visiting the area and friends. Knighton is small, in a valley and so almost all roads are on a hill, some steep!. The Hotel is a rather fascinating old building at the bottom of the main street with a short stay (maximum 2 hours) car park adjacent. If the...

Knighton is a lovely little town on the Welsh borders, the hotel is in the main street so well situated to visit the town and nearby areas. We had a lovely stay here, rooms were lovely and we had a view overlooking the Shropshire Hills. Room was spacious but bathroom on the small side, but well appointed. Lovely comfortable beds...

Stayed on Travelzoo voucher. Room was a good size, very clean and comfortable.Bathroom was compact but the shower was large enough for me not to suffer "cold bum" on the shower doors !! Bar service was good with a variety of cocktails available (Gin Bramble was excellent). The welsh breakfast was fantastic, took a while to arrive but well worth...
