This was our first visit for a four night stay. First impressions , great location , lovely grounds, excellent amenities and helpful staff. The hotel is in need of a little tlc and the mattress and tv had seen better days but that aside the place is a treat and the biggest treat is the food. Small but ample choice...

This was our second stay at the lake country house hotel and it well deserves an excellent rating. The food is fantastic I would recommend the restaurant on its own merit. The hotel rooms are generous, clean and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here to a friend and will no doubt...

This was our first visit, a recommendation spotted in the Daily Telegraph when we were looking for a peaceful country escape for a few days. We were definitely not disappointed; an excellent luxury double room - actually a mini suite - and good food. Very comfortable lounges and a modern Spa with swimming pool, gym and hot tub. We walked...

Many thanks for offering us some really lovely feedback following your 1st stay at our hotel. It's pleasing for the whole team to know that your luxury double room, food, our location and hotel grounds all received equal praise. We hope it will make a lasting impression and to welcome you back to visit us again in the future. Thanks...

An excellent hotel. Very attentive staff and superb food. Lovely treatments in the spa. Very dog friendly and good walking country, although the grounds were great for shorter walks. Couldn't fault it and intend to return..

This was our second stay here and it was every bit as good as the first time around. The place is so quiet and peaceful, the staff are lovely and the accommodation is superb. The meal was excellent and the whole experience was restful and delightful. The spa is a pleasing resource although this time was disappointed that the gorgeous...

Not a four star hotel but enjoyed the stay. Dinner & breakfast were very good, swimming pool & spa also good but service at reception and in the restaurant was slow not through lack of enthusiasm but lack of staff.

Only popped in for coffee and lunch, after a lovely walk around the extensive grounds but I was very impressed with the staff and their attention to detail when dealing with both ourselves and other guests. The decor is lovely, and touches like fresh individual flannel towels for drying your hands on in the Ladies show the level of quality...

What a lovely hotel! Despite the February weather we found much to enjoy. Old school country house charm meets contemporary hospitality and the result is a perfect place to relax. Our top floor room had a great view of the (very wet!) gardens and the spacious lounge had log fires, loads of magazines plus friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was...

It's a shame that the February weather turned wet during your stay, but it didn't appear to dampen your spirits or take anything away from the relaxing break that you enjoyed. If you choose to return and visit us again in the future, we promise to do our best to place an order for some beautiful Welsh sunshine the next...

Lovely setting in beautiful countryside although the signposting for the final half a mile is patchy. The suite of rooms we had in the main hotel were excellent; spacious and clean. The staff were always helpful and friendly and the food was really really good. The spa was a short walk away from the Hotel and would have been difficult...

Overall our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable, the building was beautiful, staff very friendly and food excellent. A couple of minor issues, mainly the double bed being two single beds pushed together, i understand why hotels do this but it's a real bugbear of mine when you are in bed and can clearly tell where the two beds...
