NOTE - THE B&B has moved however the website has not been updated. Diane and Ieuan are lovely and provide excellent hospitality. The breakfast is OMG amazing. Freshly cooked full Welsh is the recommendation every time. The damson jam is pretty awesome too. You can come and go as you please as you have a key. The B&B is actually...

We were very warmly welcomed by Diane and her husband. Our room was great, the location was stunning, and Diane's advise to visit the area were spot on. If you are after a remote location, for peace, quiet and going back to nature, this is your place and I would totally recommend it.

After reaxing good reviews we thought we would give it a try for our wedding anniversary, BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. After calling to book on Tuesday 18th August, we said we would arrive at 12 noon to which the lady on phone said yes that was fine, only to arrive at 11.30am this morning to see a note taped on door saying...

Great welcome with tea/coffee and cakes. Best part is the quality breakfast and friendly morning chats with Ieuan. Nice quiet location with views of the dam. If there is a slight criticism it's that the place has a slightly dated and tired feel to it. However, that can be overlooked because of the extremely warm welcome and beautiful surroundings.

There were 3 of us travelling. The twin room was comfortable enough and en suite, the twin offered as a single was quite small and would have been cramped for two, it had a private bathroom nearby. In the rooms the decor was haphazard as nothing really matched. The single was the most expensive on the 9 night trip and...

we arrived Sunday afternoon and were greeted with home made cake and freshly made coffee, which was wonderful. Our room was charming and beautifully decorated (4 poster bed). Breakfast, made by Diane, was great - nothing was too much trouble, she had made up some muesli especially for me and I had vegetarian breakfast and my boyfriend had the full...

We had walked over 18 miles to Llanwddyn, along the Glyndwr's Way, so we were glad of the warm welcome with tea and freshly baked cakes. We had the back room, which didn't have the views of the front but had a close up view of a woodpecker attacking a post just outside the window. The room was clean, well...

We stayed at this delightful bed and breakfast while walking a four day trail in Wales. My wife and I were greeted by the charming host after a long day on the trail and immediately offered tea and cake, the perfect start to our stay. The room was excellent; immaculately clean, comfortable and with an eye for the little details....

“If you do stay at the Gorffwysfa, when you go outside (if it has been raining), you will see the most fantastic view of the Lake Vrynwy dam with its white foam gushing (which only happens a few times a year) and you will even be able to hear the gushing of the water - Fantastic!!!”
