I stayed at the Plas for 5 nights, while attending ceremonies at CAT for my graduation. Cheryl and Gavin were lovely hosts, and (pleasantly) very different from the previous owner. The house is a maze of floors, and rooms vary from beautiful suites with 4 poster beds to full-house bunk rooms. I was able to stay in 2 different rooms...

Stayed in late August. Think its expensive for what it is. Better value can be found within a few miles. Left my leather boots there and owner binned them even though we had sorted their being picked up. Owner was totally uninterested in helping out. Overall service poor.

Absolutely lovely. A beautiful rambling mansion of a house, with big rooms and comfy furniture. Cheryl, the new owner, is really welcoming and every turn reveals a new delight. A great place for exploring the area (CAT, walking, cycling). Huge windows in the sitting rooms are great for a view of the beautiful gardens and the nearby river and it...

Pulling in to the driveway, you get a good indication of what you are in for. The beautifuly landscaped garden is a throwback to a grander time. We wanted to stay near c.a.t. eco centre which was an easy walk from the guest house. The welcome was warm and relaxed, the room clean and spacious. Had a brilliant weekend will...

A real welcome from Cheryl and the cat awaits visitors. The slate house has a touch of gothic splendour and comfortable furniture to match. Cheryl has taken on a lot with Plas Llwyngern, which she took over a year or two ago. But she has many plans for repairs and improvements to do justice to its tremendous appeal and location....

We booked a 4-day stay as Plas Llwyngwern in April this year on the strength of a stay last year. We had been very impressed by the local area and the house itself which is a beautiful, albeit slightly down-at-heel, country home. The business had changed hands since our last stay so we were expecting things to be different. Quite...

At very short notice, a member of staff left our employment. The small towels and notices are used for a large, regular booking of students who stay at the guest house, and due to an oversight, these were left on display.

There is a tranquility about the grounds at Plas- Llwyngwern; an idyllic garden view that ambles down grassland to a waterfall and river. It is a great place to get some thinking done; away from all the usual distractions. Cheryl and Gavin are attentive and friendly hosts with a deep love of their home that comes across in their attention...
