Lovely warm welcome, very clean and what you expect from a premier inn.
Lovely view around the Inn. Plenty of free parking and handy having a restaurant/bar next door.
Highly recommend the breakfast which is extremely great value for money

As a seasoned Premier Inn stayer, this is a good one for sure.

The hotel easy to find using the postcode and has a huge car park which is free, so no worries there about not being able to park. It's situated by the docks and a few new urban eateries across the road. The man at reception gave us a warm welcome, was very friendly and gave us directions to the front which is literally a 10-15 minute walk down the main road. There's also an Asda a few minutes walk away. The general area is fairly quiet, lots of new build houses and is likely going to be an "up and coming area". We enjoyed walking around and didn't feel the need to drive anywhere.

In terms of being "COVID Secure" they have screens up at reception, hand sanitiser stations around and I must say that the room was absolutely spotless. They have removed all menus and paperwork, plus you don't get the extra pillows in the room, but you can ask for these if you'd like them.

There is a nice outdoor area with benches and umbrellas, plus the standard brewers fayre pub next door. We definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again as we really enjoyed our stay.

i think Premier inn are managing Covid restrictions well. Rooms are cleaned when asked rather than someone coming in your room unannounced. Reception were helpful and replenished tea, coffee, towels etc freely as needed. The Brewers Fayre took details with bookings and the tables were well spread out and everything was bought to your table. The Inn was clean and it felt safe.

I stayed a week in this hotel which has a good position and rooms are big enough and silent, but they never changed the bathroom towels and not even clean inside the room. On the bathroom wall it was a notice about using towels at least twice, but they actually forced me to use them the whole week. I would suggest to bring some replacements with you, to have some dry towels after some days..

Staying here for business in midweek January 2020.

Check-in was seamless and staff were helpful. The room was a good size, and more than sufficient for a one night stay. It was quiet at night, and the bed was comfortable. Having the Bewers Fayre next door for the breakfast is also very helpful. I took the ‘meal deal’ option that also included a drink and main meal, and I was very with the quality, range and value that this provided.

I would recommend the Premier Inn, and would stay again if I was in the area.

Highly recommended! We stayed there for two nights during August, and I cannot fault this hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and couldn't do enough for you. All social distancing measures were in place, and we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. There is ample free parking. It is in a lovely location, just a walk away from shops, and about 10-15 minutes walk to the beautiful beach and amazing coastline. It is right on the Waterfront. I would also highly recommend the Brewer's Fayre Restaurant, which is next door, and where breakfast is served. We also ate dinner there both evenings, and it was excellent. I would certainly recommend this Premier Inn, and look forward to returning in the future - I would not book anywhere else for a visit to Barry and/ or Cardiff, as it is near enough to visit the city but also offers a great option to come back here to relax and unwind after a busy day shopping and sightseeing!

We use the premier Inn at Barry often for our regular South Wales breaks.
The hotel itself is fabulous and staff are super friendly and helpful.
The rooms have large TVs, ample sockets, and good free wi-fi which can be upgraded for £5 a night if you need more speed.
The rooms have controls for air conditioning/heating and the best beds ever which combined with excellent soundproofing lead to a great night's sleep.
The bathroom includes both bath and overhead shower and, like the rest of the room, was very clean.
The location is excellent in the up and coming Barry waterfront area.
The hotel is opposite the water and about 10 minutes walk to the beach/seafront. The beach is beautiful. The docks area has been extensively developed with houses, offices, a Cowsheds living/dining complex, and a large Asda with petrol station.
Yet the area is still very peaceful.
There is easy access by road or rail to Cardiff, Cardiff Quay, and Swansea (about an hour away). Barry station is very nearby (closer than Barry Island station).
I would also thoroughly recommend Cowbridge, Mumbles and Penarth as smaller upmarket places to visit.

Another amazing trip, 10/10

We visited Barry last week for the first time and were booked into the Mount rooms hotel for 3 nights however we were shocked at the hotels standards! There was music blaring all night so we had a sleepless night and staff didn’t offer any solution so we had to book another hotel last minute so checked into the travel lodge. This hotel was a million times nicer and staff were lovely! Very clean quite room in a good location highly recommend m. We booked Saturday morning at about 9 and staff even let us check in an hour early after I called to ask as we were desperate to leave the other hotel. Thanks so much for saving the rest of our holiday!!

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in June 2021, the weather was pretty warm so we were glad that the air con worked well. The room was pretty standard but nice, unfortunately the only time anybody came to change anything in the room over the 3 days was after we asked at reception for some new towels and coffee. Not once during our stay was the bed made up or dirty towels collected, which was disappointing.

Stayed at this hotel in Barry for a 1 night stay, just to get away and wasn't disappointed.

It was spotless and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were put in room 225 which was a bit far for us as my husband has a bad heart and gets out of breath easily. I went to reception to see if we could change rooms and straight away without any fuss or questions we were moved to room 2.

Room was quiet, as it was out the front we thought we would hear the traffic but we didn't. It was a bit noisy from the upstairs in the morning like heavy footsteps but not sure whether there was a landing there. That wouldn't put us of staying here again though.

Everyone we met whether it be in open spaced bars or masked taxi drivers were really lovely and helpful (you've also got to wear a mask and if you don't have one they will give you one).

I would also recommend the Shahi NoorTandoori for Indian food which is about 4 min taxi ride.

Last but not least the car park was excellent and plenty of parking spaces.
