Detailed Reviews
Very good budget accomodation. Friendly and helpful hotel owners. It is very conveniently located to the RNSH and has lovely walking tracks not far away. Our room was very quiet, considering it is located next to the highway. We had a leafy view that was lovely. The room had everything we needed and serviced daily. The bed was harder than I like and the room and facilities are a little dated, but priced accordingly. I would highly recommend this place.

I stayed in this motel for one night. It is about 20 minutes drive Sydney airport and it is located near to Chatswood where lots of Asian restaurants. It is very comfortable stay with a little bit city view.

Stayed at Linley Lodge for just over a week and found everything well above par for accommodation in this price bracket.
Was greeted at reception like one entered a 4 or 5 star hotel, very hospitable and welcoming.
Had a nice room tucked away in the corner of the property, which was clean and quiet.
Room was a touch dated, but having said that though for what you are paying you'd be a fool to complain.
Everything in the room was well maintained and up to speed at this end of the accommodation market.
The property also boasts a grassed area with a pergola and stunning views, nice place to relax and unwind.
And with such a central location accessible to surrounding areas by frequent buses makes this choice a no brainer.
Would recommend anyone stay here, and sincerely hope they enjoy the money they save for what is a good value for money Motel.
And with such friendly staff and owner, (whom always says hello and interacts with his guests), a true gem of a place for the non pretentious people in this world.
Would definitely stay here again without doubt.

I rang up to enquire if they had any pet friendly rooms, and the manager on the phone just said "NO, we are fully booked".
I asked him how they could be fully booked if I hadn't even given a date of when we were coming. He replied again, "No we are fully booked". I suggested he just say they don't take pets, and again he stated "No we are fully booked" (and the line was clear so it wasn't a hearing issue; it was just a shocking attitude).
I am posting this so that any pet owners that are looking for a pet friendly place know that this one is "FULLY BOOKED" for when you call.

We stayed at Linwood Lodge for 1 nite as we had to be on the north shore Friday evening and sat am. So rather than pay to.ls and fuel and our time etc, rather than drive back to Camden nsw late at night and return early am, we Google budget accomodation near St Leonards when we needed to be.
The lodge was central, off street parking, under $100 no frills,
but clean, airconditioned worked well and was quiet!

Fawlty Towers I would rate higher than this poor excuse for a motel. You could hear voices from the room directly above which the two occupants decided to have an intermitant conversation till 4.40am. Also heard every bit of furniture that was moved and cascades of water when the toilet was flushed. So at $99 a night for 2 people in North Sydney you be the judge. On a positive note the tv was fine, bed satisfactory and WiFi was available free but unsecured!!

ok if you want a cheap bed for the night. On the highway but my room was at the back so I could only hear the people in the house behind and the adjoining tv's, thankfully
i always travel with ear plugs!

The only thing good was the bed was comfy... very small, very old decor, curtains on verandah, which is converted to a little whatever where just about falling off... bathroom couldn't hardly even turn around in it, shower was hopeless very old - needed head replacing.. door fell off runner had to my get friend to open as I couldn't even get out... Would not recommend to be honest... Needs good facelift.. ok for back packers.. Would not go back..

We arrived in St Leonards in the evening and were lucky to get a night at this hotel, as it seemed most hotels were booked out. The management seemed off-hand but was able to direct us to a Thai restaurant for a meal that evening. It was delicious and at very reasonable prices.
The room itself was pokey and the toilet was a small triangle, with a shower on on side and the toilet bowl on the other. You could not shut the door, as it was wedged open by the bed. The water from the shower ran all the way down to the outlet in the middle of the room. The mattress was tattered and I saw a small 'creature' on the bed in the morning. We were glad to leave that morning. I must say that there is a great cafe across from the hotel where we had toast and poached eggs for breakfast and good coffee. This is an okay place if you are passing through.
