We had originally planned to stay longer but cut our stay short as we were not enjoying it . Our harbourside room was very small ( no room to unpack our cases) and had no air conditioning so it was very hot at night . There were French doors opening onto the verandah but no windows to open meaning that...

This is a very unique place to stay. The rooms are lovely - like any good hotel room. The bush land and harbour coast are beautiful. It is the peace that really makes this place special - sitting on the verandah, overlooking a magnificent harbour and out to the high rises of the city - and the only sounds are...

QStation is an amazing heritage property in the national park. One of the many conditions of approval for its use which was imposed by the NPWS/Department of Planning and Department of Heritage is that air conditioning in accommodation rooms cannot be installed. Every room has an overhead fan and french doors directly onto a balcony so airflow is great. In...

Birthday party for New Year's Eve , mine. My family decided that I needed to celebrate my 70 birthday. A few suggestions, loved to watch the fire works on Syd harbour. Stay a few nights ! Plenty of good food and drinks. I was left to find , arrange and pay for my party . And we were into October...

This is not your typical Accor hotel and your expectations should be adjusted.. After some initial hiccups were sorted out by the very co-operative staff we enjoyed our stay. The worst aspect was that our stay coincided with a very hot spell and the rooms were not air conditioned. One other minor issue was that we had a booked and...

We had a weekend at the Q station on the hottest day and night for years. The accommodation was comfortable but with no aircon a bit hot. Heaters available for winter though. There is a fan on the ceiling which we ran all night, with the only access to fresh air being the open double doors which we considered safe...

No air con or opening window in the room. Cheap sheets. At breakfast we had to clear and reset our own table and most of the food was gone by 9 am. Coffee was out of a paper cup.. They had run out of mugs. Missed our ferry into the city as had to wait 15 minutes for the onsite...

7 of us stayed here for a couple of nights back in August last year, it's a little pricey but so worth it. The history of the place is fascinating and you should definitely do the tour (Maureen was fabulous) we especially loved the hospital block (we were 2 Nurses and a Dr in our group) Breakfast was busy but...

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
