he location was perfect - one street back from the beach and 5 mins walk to the main stretch. I was amazed to find heaps of boutique speciality coffee houses just around the corner. The property itself was old but well maintained, clean and quiet. My room was large. Although the rooms did not have their own bathroom facilities (there...

Clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and friendly. Friendly home like atmosphere and I would recommend to family and friends. The only difficulty was that there is no off street parking and although I really appreciated the ability to secure a parking permit for the low cost of $10, I needed to keep a watch out for an available space...

When booking I missed that there were shared bathrooms. This is really more of a backpackers establishment dressed up as a B&B. It was clean and comfy but boy was it hot on the top floor and its not even summer. It is in the best position for access to Manly and the beach.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review about us. We do not have any dormitories, (so are not a backpackers). We only private rooms with share bathrooms and we do not offer breakfast (we aren't a B&B). Our best description is "guest house" which is exactly what we do call ourselves. It was a very warm spring weekend...

Clean and good sized room, i had a Queen size. Relatively quiet. Main problem only one shared toilet /shower per floor where there are approx 9 rooms. Has everything you need and staff are friendly and approachable. In my opinion slighty high is price considering the shared facilities. But over all an enjoyable stay.

Hi Beverly, thanks for taking time out to write a review for us, we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. I would just like to point out that there are 4 showers and 7 toilets in the building of 19 rooms so there is a shower shared by 4.75 rooms and a toilet shared by 2.7 rooms (not...

Lovely room, we got a view of the ocean, even though it was winter the place was warm. Lovely girl on reception who welcomed us, I have stayed before and will do so again. Fully recommend for either a short overnight trip or a longer one.

This place seemed perfect for our needs - it's close to the beach, easy walk to the ferry, and has rooms suitable for kids (we stayed in a 4 person family room). It's budget, but the shared resources are fine. Price was great compared to what you'd pay staying in the city. Person I communicated with re booking was friendly...

I am very concerned about your experience with us. This is the first time something has gone missing from a room in the guesthouse since we have had the keycard system (over 2 years). Your door was inspected and we could see no damage to the door or lock. I called the police myself when your husband informed me of...

Thank you for writing this review. Our building is 100 this year! There are plenty of glasses and cups stored in the shared kitchen that you would be welcome to take up to the room if you like a glass of water during the night. Hope to see you again soon

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
