I booked the Metro Mirage as I was looking for somewhere close to Palm beach. I thought the hotel was great value for money, the room was suitable, nothing special, but clean and comfortable! I enjoyed the pool and great views, the hotel could use a touch up, but otherwise I would definitely recommend this hotel as a good budget...

I recently attended the Metro Mirage for a work event and found the experience to be one of polar differences. The positives were many: the bed and pillows I absolutely loved, and this is usually my biggest complaint of hotels. We were provided with food, very good food, lots and lots of very good food, no complaints there either. However,...

Stayed here for a conference. It really is more like a motel than a hotel and the claim to be 4 star is hysterical. The decor is dated from the ridiculous faux baroque sofas to the inside of the lift and our conference room (ironically called the bayview room with no view whatsoever of the bay) had stained carpet that...

A hotel set in the sleepy coastal suburb of Newport that is quaint and has amazing views. Its rooms are clean and airy but not well insulated from sound. I was woken up several times in the night from my neighbours above watching TV and turning the air vents on when heading for a bathroom break. I could also keep...

My partner and I stayed at the Mirage after a wedding, we organised a waterfront room with spa. The room was very average 'cheap hotel' looking, the main reason for getting this room was the spa thinking we could enjoy one after a long day. Only to realize after filling the bath.. the spa didn't even work - irritating but...

This place is great. The pub opposite the accommodation is the best for all food on the evening. Nothing much else is open except the local Thai. Front of house staff are really friendly. I had an issue with my tv. I phoned reception and it was fixed the following day. Awesome!

Fabulous waterfront Room (with spa). Excellent check-in with no fuss. Fantastic staff and metres from the excellent Newport Arms Hotel. However.... We called to book after retrieving advertised prices from their own website only to be told it was $20 more and she would not confirm a price until I FAXED back a "Third Party Authority" form with photocopies of...

We stayed on a Saturday night as we had to been at Palm Beach early Sunday morning. Location was very convenient. Parking onsite or on the street. Our room faced out over the street directly opposite "The Newport" (The Newport Arms Hotel) on level 3. From arriving at 5pm we could hear the music from The Newport straight into our...

I have stayed here for work a couple of times in the last few months. The first time I was a little horrified to find a very dirty face washer in the bathroom (looked like someone had blown their nose on it), a few hairs, and the bar fridge not working. I wouldn't have stayed again to be honest, but...

We have used this hotel before and find it pretty good. They have views to die for and a good buffet breakfast. On the negative side, the beneath the building parking is woeful (we scratch damaged our small car getting into the parking space) and the rooms are in need of modernising. All in all, a good spot but the...
