My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights when travelling with out 2 Great Danes, yes, Great Danes! We had a slight hiccup at the start when the room we were allocated did not have ANY curtains in the lounge area (even though we specifically checked it was a room inclusion because of the dogs and their tendency to...

Upon arrival both male attendants at the desk stood and watched as I struggled to get the suitcase and bag through the front door. Offer of assistance to take the suitcase to my room was accompanied with constant comments on how heavy the bag was. Room 21 on the First floor was right above the dining room, so very noisy....

Thank you for choosing to stay at our hotel and for taking the time to post a review about your stay. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet, and our lovely heritage building. I apologise about the noise from the cleaners in the restaurant. Our contract cleaners for the restaurant are meant to clean the restaurant...

Thsi boutique hotel is currently undergoing painting & renovation. Charming but many of the rooms are very small, so choose your rooms with care. They are small rooms and remeiniscent of an English hotel. However, the staff are very helpful and there is a new restaurant that is attracting new diners. The hotel is well located close to the CBD...

We've stayed here a few times now, as it's location is very handy for games being played at Allianz Stadium. On this occasion we chose the dinner, bed and breakfast package for $568, and were pleasantly surprised. They now have a fabulous french bistro style restaurant called 'Vincent' serving lunch and dinner - and the food and service was excellent...

Stayed quite a few times here because of its location and general feel of the place which has an interesting history. Comfortable lounge area, revamped restaurant and reception. However the guest rooms really could do with some solid renovating...threadbare carpets, odd bits of furniture that don't quite fit, peeling ceiling paint, dirty windows, very "tired" bathrooms. Reception have said many...

Thanks for your review of the hotel, and for choosing to stay with us. I see that although your review was posted in May 2014, your stay was in October 2013. It may interest you to hear that in the past 6 months, we have renovated nearly all of our rooms with new bathrooms, carpets, furniture and TV’s. We have...

We made a conscious choice to choose a boutique hotel over an impersonal chain. We were for the most part very satisfied, the hotel is a good location for the chi chi shops, cafes and galleries around Queen St, but an easy bus or taxi into the city. There is a comfortable little bar with welcoming fireplace We had a...

Lots of things were not good. The bathroom door could not close which meant we had to go down the corridor to use the toilet. The staff member asked "would it be a problem?" but no offer to reduce the cost. The alarm went off at mid-night and there was no hot water in the shower. Avoid!!

We take customer service very seriously, and always do our best to please our guests. When you presented the bathroom door as an issue to the manager on duty after you checked in, you were offered a selection of similar alternative rooms, but you declined that offer and have now posted an unfairly negative review of our hotel. We have...

The foyer and building are the best things about this hotel. The bar is not part of the hotel and only takes cash, the breakfast was nice but no variations allowed, the rooms are very basic and small (though could live with this for one night) but being charged for 2 nights on check out when had actually already paid...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review about your stay. On checkout your husband presented his card to be charged for the room and the staff on duty did accidentally charge the card for the full stay. We have just spent a week at The Hughenden in a Cosy room. We weren't expecting much because it is their cheapest room, but we were pleasantly surprised. Yes the room and bathroom are tiny, but they have both just been renovated and look amazing. There was more than enough room for two people and two suitcases. The location of...

Althought the main foyer of the hotel was very attractive, our room...room one... was very basic. The bathroom sink was minuscule with a ridiculous glass shelf over the top of it which made even cleaning teeth impossible.
