Avoid this place if you can. Washed in stains on bedding. Uncomfortable bed and pillow. Carpet dirty. Bathroom dispensers empty. Bed one metre from door. Noise from other guests and air conditioning. This is not what I had expected from a mid price hotel in double bay. Wish I had read other trip advisor before letting my son book this room for two nights for us. We only stayed one night as I complained after the first night and heard nothing so we did not go back for the second night.

My second time at the Savoy Hotel and I absolutely loved it. It was exactly what I needed for my interviews and being close to cafes of choice. The room was clean and quiet. The price was great and so were the staff. Highly recommended for anyone wanting the convenience of the location for food and taxi to get you into the city fast.

Stayed at the amazing Savoy Hotel for 17 nights and it's with a light heart that I'd like to share my experience to all the travelers out there that are looking for a private oasis. How refreshing to see 'good old fashion' service alive and well. Savoy Hotel promotes a culture of inclusion and focuses on the principle of treating others how they would like to be treated themselves.Such a rare principle in today's climate and this in itself is a credit to the training skills of the Management team. Emotional intelligence plays a fundamental role in the evolution of customer service and the team at Savoy certainly shone through with this value. Rooms are great and contain everything needed, location is situated in the heart of Double Bay and every amenity is provided for. The price and rates are second to none. There is also a kitchen area with microwave, sandwich toaster, large fridge and ice machine just in case you decide to chill out and have a quiet night in. The balcony area overlooks Knox Street and be prepared to spot a Kookaburra or 2 as they sit on the balcony rail. A special thanks to Katrina just for being herself, Suzzen and Stephen for their exceptional customer service and Soo for being so attentive and servicing my room with a smile on her face everyday. Congratulations Savoy Hotel, with the team members you have on board, you really are something special. Sincerely Janine

I use this hotel often when I travel to Sydney. It is a very good price for an excellent location. Rooms range from very tiny to very generous, so best to upgrade for space and better lighting. It is lightly staffed but they are always friendly when in attendance.

The hotel is in double bay close to trendy shops cafes and restaurants. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Decent price and clean. Easy to check in - elevator is a bit slow and the bathroom could do with some renovation.

Our 3 night stay here was pretty good. Parking was the only potential problem with a large vehicle. Parking only available on the nearby streets, but not too far away. The accomodation was fairly basic but it was ok, rooms were a little bit noisy, they were reasonably clean. Nice atrium area where we sat for a quiet evening drink with some friends that were staying as well. Plenty of great restaurants close by, a few really good pubs within walking distance as well. It’s in a nice area with good shopping close by as well. The breakfast was self serve cereal and bread to toast, fairly basic but it was fine. A good budget type stay near to most of the action .

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights out of our planned 9. Had to checkout early due to unforeseen circumstances and the hotel staff were extremely accommodating, understanding and very helpful which was greatly appreciated. The room we stayed in was excellent, hotel service and facilities excellent and fantastic location to all essentials- day hospital, chemist, boutiques, eateries and cafes. Would highly recommend and would most certainly stay again.

Situated in Double Bay a short walk from the ferry port and the T. A small hotel suitable for getting your head down during a trip to Sydney. Room was clean. Bathroom a little small and dated. Don’t bother with breakfast as there is a great breakfast joint next door. A great budget option in a lovely area of the city
