We enjoyed our meal at the Hotel Nicholas. Very enjoyable. Interesting decor with many historic photos about this gold town and great meals. Very friendly service - we will come again to this lovely hotel in Beechworth.

My wife and I had dinner at this quaint little hotel in historic Beechworth. The fish and chips were excellent, and as an added bonus, the proprietor gave us an interesting presentation on the history of the pub, detailing the story of the infamous Ned Kelly, local criminal or hero depending on your outlook! Also had a tour of the...

It was our first time to this picturesque beautiful little town. We stumbled across this gem from simply parking out front as 2 middle aged city slickers do. We did a circle of the city (town) and ended up back there for lunch. The food is fresh and home grown as explained by the host. The atmosphere traditional and an...

While touring North East Victoria we had an overnight stay in Beechworth, after sightseeing all day we book into the Armour Motor Inn. How nice, just a short walk next door was the Hotel Nicholas that had meals in their Gallery Dining Room. An old fashion pub that offers much more than meals and drinks, service was exceptional, food quality...

Perhaps we should have asked about noise when we booked, but live music in the bar below kept us awake long past our bedtime. The room itself was atmospherically quaint and clean but after a long drive it was really annoying to be kept awake by the band.

I researched accommodation before booking, based on reviews i thought we would be pretty safe. Our expectations were well exceeded by the rooms, bedding, service, food in the restaraunt and especially the staff. We will Definately return for a longer stay. The renovations and dedication to history are a credit to the owner and Beechworth should be very proud. Thank...

Absolute quality dining, service and comfort. We were recommended this venue for a special occasion and was not disappointed. The food was first class and the chef deserves every accolade for taste and presentation. Well done!

Two of us stayed Saturday night, up from Melbourne, on our way down the Omeo highway on our bikes. The hotel retains its old world charm and is a great place to stay. The room was large, clean, nicely decorated and had a verandah with a view of the street. We ate in the restaurant which was above average with...
