If you are looking for a clean, cosy and comfortable place to stay that is close to the wineries, beach, shops and nice cafes then Little Red Hen might just be the accommodation that you are looking for! The cottage was beautifully decorated and well-furnished. After spending the day going around the Peninsula on a cold winter's day, my brother and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the comfort of the warm living room and using the provided facilities (television, music player and variety of magazines). Extra highlights included the luxury linen and organic toiletries. Not to forget the lovely big "breakfast box" that contained fresh and beautiful ingredients to whip up a substantial brekkie. I had to check-in an hour earlier and the owner was so friendly and accommodating. Now that is what I call quality service! Lovely owner and a lovely place to stay! Will definitely be recommending this place to friends and others visiting the Peninsula.

Staying for just one night in cold July, we were very comfortable in this warm little wooden holiday house. Unfortunately because of the rain we couldn't enjoy the deck chairs on the front patio or the bbq in the back yard, but the complimentary big breakfast items sufficed quite nicely! Easy going owners who leave the keys in a secured lock box at the house make for a hassle free stay in this beautiful part of Victoria!

We found the little Red hen after a little searching. No problem finding the key and delighted with decor on entry. The breakfast supplies were generous for 2 mornings and good quality. Loved our sfay

Choosing to stay at The Little Red Hen was really the highlight of our travels in the Mornington Peninsula, and I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a wonderfully private accommodation in a great location (just 3-minutes drive from Dromana beach and easy driving to wineries around the area), with a lovely garden, spacious and modern interior, and all the amenities you would need for a comfortable and complete stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would possibly require to prepare meals in the cottage, and you can easily park your car(s) on the cottage grounds.
My favorite areas of the cottage were the gorgeous living area and two bedrooms: a master bedroom and the loveliest 'children's room' ever! I've included photos :-) I have to say that The Little Red Hen really pays a lot of attention to providing excellent quality and value-for-money for guests, which is what makes staying here so comfortable and worthwhile. The bed linen was luxurious, towels were thick and fluffy, and products for use in the cottage are sourced from organic local suppliers. All these little details really make a huge difference for travelers, even if only for a brief vacation stay. I felt really pampered!
I was especially delighted by the huge and very generous breakfast basket that came with our stay at The Little Red Hen. We were traveling as a couple and there was certainly MORE than enough food for the two of us, so much so that we could extend the use of the fresh ingredients from the breakfast basket into our dinner preparations. I guess that what's included in the basket may be seasonal, but our basket came with eggs, basil (beautiful color!), tomatoes (luscious!), mushrooms, milk, lovely bread loaves, bacon and orange juice... all in super generous portions.
If there was one single criticism at all about our wonderful experience at The Little Red Hen, it would only be that the cottage comes with just one air-conditioning (heating) unit, which is located in the living/dining space. We visited during winter with some pretty cold nights, and would probably have appreciated some heating in the bedroom as well... but in the end it turned out not to be not such a big issue for us: we just took a piping hot shower before going to bed, then dived in under their snugly and fluffy blankets to stay warm.
Without a doubt, I will most definitely choose to stay at The Little Red Hen again if we come back to the Mornington Peninsula! I have shared even more photos and details of our memorable experience at The Little Red Hen on my blog: http://bit.ly/1bnBTQY

We found a good deal with little red hen b&b. Fuss free check in & out. Accommodation was reasonably clean & well equipped. Location was good. Love their breakfast staples crate & stocked pantry. Will certainly book them again if we do come back to Dromana!
