I booked through Hotels.com- first mistake. Hotels.com charged me a certain price and when I contacted the premises, they stated that they have not received any confirmation of my booking at all. This was a day before we were to stay and it was pure luck that I contacted them. I was then informed that Hotels.com should not have charged me as a direct payment is needed. Well, the Dormana Holiday Village sent me a receipt with a $124 price difference. Not the fault at all of Dromana holiday Village, but my further comments are directed towards the premises We booked a deluxe cabin and we didn't get deluxe at all. If this was rated as deluxe, then I'll go he! First appearance on the outside of the cabin was dirty with algae growing on the outer walls. The down pipe just above the steps, well their was no down pipe. When it rained the water pooled and was hard to step over without getting wet. Once we opened the front glass sliding door, my 8 yr old stepped in onto the small door mat and slipped over hitting his head on the ground with a thud. The floor was yellow tongue that looked like it has been turned over and varnish put on it making the floor very slippery even with shoes on, so not impressed there. Yes, my child is ok, but I wasn't all happy at the time and it was probably lucky that reception was closed. There is metal skirting that goes over the join on the floor from the yellow tongue to the laminated floor on the kitchen area, this was broken and sticking out. This was very sharp and would have caused a serious cut if stood on. I had to place a chair over it so the kids wouldn't go near it. The paint on the window ledge in the bathroom was peeling of and flaking every where. The toilet had cob webs every where. Behind the toilet door, it looked like someone had flicked snot on the door as they were sitting on the toilet - wasn't cleaned well. The walls in the cabin were marked and dirty. The queen bed was low to the ground and hard to get out of. Under all the beds was rubbish and dirt that hadn't been cleaned. The bin under the sink, well there was a clean plastic bag in there but underneath the plastic bag, food scraps where at the bottom. The cabin had an awful smell. The small flat screen TV - you have to pull the chairs up close to watch it. I hate doing this, but I have to be honest. This would be one of the worst places that I have stayed and we have traveled extensively throughout Australia. The cabin was repugnant and not worth the money at all. I cannot make a comment on the premises facilities. It did appear that the common BBQ area and playground area looked ok. Not sure about any of the pools, but if it is anything like the cleanliness of the cabins.... my kids wouldn't be swimming in them. I am guessing that the cabins are privately owned, but the buck has to stop with the Dromana Holiday Village. I would not have my name associated with cabins in the state that this one is in. I do feel bad about my review, but it needed to be said.
The question that I would ask myself, would I stay there again? NO, simple as that. Would I recommend staying here? NO.

We arrived on XMAS day in the arvo to what we thought was a deluxe cabin. When we walked in the place looked grubby, broken curtains, toilet button cracked and just rundown. When I went to have a shower there was no hot water, we knew it was a public holiday but we paid full price so we expected service. My husband rang the office but no answer then he left two voice messages to two different numbers and still no reply. The next day when my husband approached the man at the office he came over but was annoyed cause he claimed we didn't call him. We realised my hubby rang one number in error but still the two other numbers were correct. At this time my whole family just wanted to go back home as instead of making us feel welcome he did the opposite. We also had problems with our television so again he had to come and fix it, but not with a friendly attitude. The place itself was ok with the kids enjoying the indoor pool and riding there bikes around but for the price we paid the cabin should have been in a far better condition.!!!

This review is a complete and utter lie, the reviewer has been deliberately untruthful in an attempt to get back at management. The reviewer requested to check-in early in the morning on Christmas Day, and their request was happily accommodated by management. The cabin the reviewer checked into, is one of the best 2 Bedroom Deluxe Cabins available and use to be the display cabin for the park. On Boxing Day, the man came barging into the office extremely aggressively saying the hot water in the unit wasn't working and noone had done anything about it. We said to him that we had not been contacted, to which he denied and insisted on saying he called our after-hours number. On reviewing the number he called, the man was left red-faced as he embarrassingly called the wrong number. This angered him even further. The man was the comfortably the worst holiday stayer we've ever had in the park in the last 18 months. He continually dropped every swear word under the sun in front of his 3 young girls and should be ashamed of himself. I have never came across someone so rude with no manners. I immediately came to the cabin, noticed the pilot light had gone out in the hot water unit. I re-lighted the unit and the hot water was back. The same day, the man aggressively contacted the office demanding something be done about his TV signal. I swiftly attended to the unit and adjusted the TV aerial and the signal was back to normal. The foul language and behavior shown by this patron was absolutely astonishing and the man completely embarrassed himself and his family. Disorderly patrons will not be welcomed back to the park in the future, as management look forward to continue accommodating the majority of polite and respectful patrons.

Stayed 2 nights in 2 bedroom "cabin", got home today and couldn't wait to leave.
For the price that was paid we would expect 10 times better!
So..... Carpet in "cabin" disgusting with stains and cabin smelt disgusting. Beds uncomfortable to say the least! Sheets were paper thin, I didn't want to touch the thin doona for fear it hadn't been washed. Front screen doors in the cabin fall off immediately when opened. Toaster and kettle were cheap crap, couches are old and uncomfortable. Our bathroom was ok, but my parents in law stayed next door and their bathroom sink was blocked and unusable. Curtains in second bedroom didn't go right down, so not able to get changed in that room.
They obviously don't care that people are paying good money for this accommodation, be warned!!
Oh and if the owners try to say I am a disgruntled employee or lying about this review, as I have read in previous reviews, THEY are liars!!!!!

One thing I will not tolerate is liars. We are not ex employees, disgruntled family or friends we were a family(with 2 kids under 2) travelling 12 hrs to attend a friends wedding. On admission we should of been told about the broken screen doors, not told via trip adviser 2months later they were due for repairs. We notified management 9.05 am on Friday and again 9.05 am Saturday about the fridge not working, only to have management come down and ask us have we turned it off,yet the freezer part was still working.Yes we are cleaning a fridge for you she said, yet nearly 2 full days later they get one from a nearby cabin. No one would expect you to fill your kitchen sink full of ice for 2days to keep your childrens food and drink cold. We only ran the microwave without anything in it to show him what it was doing, otherwise we tried to use it without success to heat up a bottle, which caused it to spark, smell likely it was on fire and sound like it was about to blow up. Yes they refunded us $50 but that did not go close to covering what we had already spent or what we had to spend on extra meals not being able to keep anything cold.If management would like us to process all the photos we have taken we can, but I think that is not in their best interest .Their excuse for the condition of the cabin was 'it is owned by someone else and all we do is maintain the park.'That is not what management is about, management is about you being responsible for everything that happens within your boundary, and cleaning is part of that responsibility. These patrons requesting further discount! That is correct what else would you expect from substandard accommodation that was classed as a self contained two bedroom deluxe cabin at $180 per night. It's not self contained when the fridge doesn't work.Management somehow disguising this as all our fault is really hard to comprehend and we came away from our trip to Victoria feeling perplexed and taken advantage of. We learn from this and move on with hope the next trip to Victoria is more pleasant..........

IF you are after a deluxe cabin as stated on their site, do not stay here, absolutely disgusting, most of the furniture, utensils, etc were broken, book for 6, get wrong bed configuration, only 1 tiny bathroom instead of 2 that was booked for, for what i paid for 2 nights in this caravan i could of got a week of luxury in phuket, and when i did complain was just brushed off, and oh if you do stay there, better take towels and pillows, they dont supply them!!!!!! not worthy of a 1 in ratings

This review does not make sense and is simply untrue. BBQ's are cleaned everyday on a regular basis. I'm not sure what incident the reviewer is referring to, because management have certainly not heard of any cabins being flooded due to burst pipes or leaks in the individual units. This false review should be disregarded. Management are constantly maintaining all common areas and facilities within the park and endeavor to keep the grounds in immaculate conditions at all times.

We stayed here just after new year. The cabin had not been cleaned prior to us. There was a nest of bugs under the bed in both rooms, my husband found an empty cigarette packet under the bed - yekk and i had to remove a number of spider webs. One night as my son went to bed a spider crawled out from under his pillow. When i did mop the floor with the only cleaning device they left black filth doesn't even begin to describe the state of the mop. The towels they left us smelt musty - lucky I bought my own as clearly they had not been washed. Lift your game cause you are not the doing the owners of the cabins justice. You cannot rent them out on their behalf in the current state. Clean the pools properly and surrounding amenities before someone catches something!!!

Hi travis, my name is Stef. My family stayed there in jan this year and as soon as we checked in we noticed that the door in the ensuite didnt close then when we forced it closed we couldn't open it. So all week we had to use toilet/shower with door open. The smoke alarm in kitchen had live wires exposed and dust was falling on kitchen table. The window in my sons bedroom didnt close properly so we had to put utensils there to hold it shut from inside. The front slide door didnt open/shut properly it made an extremely loud squeaking noise. So every morning or everytime we went out everyone could hear it. We told Adam and Lisa at reception and nothing was done. He said he would come back but never did all week.
I sent an email of complaint when we got back to melb with photos never got a response, resent the email and again nothing. It's bad poor management and will never stay there again. Sorry for venting.
Stef
