The wife and I needed time away to decompress and having been here previously (7 years ago) this place was perfect. Emerald was just far enough away (from the kids) that the drive was enjoyable. Upon arrival the cottage hadn't changed much, but it was for the better. The features for us was the fireplace, spa bath and isolation. Everything...

Anyone with pets knows how difficult it can be to find pet-friendly accommodation that you actually want to stay in too. Glenview Retreat offers the perfect mix of luxurious indulgence for us whilst allowing our furry friend to stay with us, which definintely makes it a stand-out in our opinion. The cottages are actually not two independent buildings as I...

My wife and I had 2 midweek nights at Glenview Retreat, and could not have asked for better. The cottage was spotless and well appointed. The hamper breakfast - bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, bread, juice, butter, & spreads was certainly more than we could possibly eat. Add this to the wine & chocolates on arrival and excellent coffee from the...

My husband and myself had a very romantic weekend. It was lovely to see so much attention and detail that went into our stay. My health had been up and down and the serenity of GlenView Retreat made me feel so much better. The hosts were lovely and made our stay comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing, the hamper had...

Visited August, 2012. Was perfect for two couples great breakfast, very cosy. The new owners had just taken over. Returned last week July, 2013. Booked on-line. Received confirmation which stated we would have a fully cooked breakfast, then discovered they don't do breakfast anymore, well, they had already taken my deposit. For breakfast we were given 4 slices of bread,...

We were looking for a weekend away, not too far from home. Being two couples we found Glenview Retreat the perfect get-a-way, we each had our own cottage, and it was only 1hr from home. Being winter, it was cold but the gas heater was something to look forward to when we came back after our walks. The breakfast was...

We were looking for a nice three day getaway just before my partner had back surgery and when I was between jobs. Jenny did everything to make us feel relaxed and at home, including providing us with two AMAZING breakfasts and organising massages and body treatments which came to us at the cottage. Yes, we need not have left the...

My husband and I have stayed here on two occasions while working in the area together. The cottages are absolutely delightful - you are welcomed with wine, a large array of chocolates and cookies and some bubble bath for the spa. The cottage has a lovely garden where you can listen to the birds and there is also a kitchen...

We chose this place because we were looking for somewhere to relax for a couple of days and the choice was a good one! The cottage is split into two self contained units which were spotlessly clean and supplied with all the usual supplies, plus a whole host of extras such as chocolates, fresh coffee, wine, a huge selection of...
