The Healesville Hotel is a lovely choice for a micro holiday being well placed to explore the Yarra Valley, including the Healesville Sanctuary and Four Pillars Gin. The hotel is a beautiful Edwardian building with pressed metal ceilings and artworks, vases of flowers, good carpet and furnishings, and large and comfortable beds. The service is excellent and the restaurant was...

We were pleasantly surprised to find this well regarded that the bar shared its kitchen with the more refined 1 Hat Good Food Guide Hotel restaurant and offered very affordable and high quality specials for its bar patron. The bar staff were welcoming and there is a pleasant outside area for warm evenings.

You need to remember your bathrobe for trotting down the hall to the bathroom. The rooms are old style high ceilings, lots of light comfy beds. The quality of the toiletries is high. I liked the little touches of ear plugs if it got too noisy outside. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Crisp clean and spacious. Loved the king bed. Nicely updated room. Even supply earplugs in case the dining room gets too noisy all with a great rate. We had our 5yo with us and they suppy a trundle for kids.

My wife and I had Dinner here to celebrate her Birthday. We chose the 6 Course Dinner with matching Wines and were not disappointed. Each course was excellent and well matched with the selected wines. The service was also first class with explanations about each course and the wine. We could not have asked for a better place to Celebrate....

We came for Sunday Roast lunch to enjoy the special set menu. Walking into the dining room was a breathtaking moment, the ambiance and styling was just beyond! The family chose the 2 courses and there was plenty of food. The bread served with ricotta & lemon was just divine. The entrees were all delicious and the mains were pork...

Great atmosphere in a beautiful old pub - it was a pretty cool evening and luckily scored a table right near the open fire! Service from a very young guy was outstanding - his knowledge of the food and drinks menu was impressive. Had charcoal grilled chicken and my wife had flathead tails - both very delicious. A little pricey...

Pros Large pretty room with good comfortable bed with quality linen. Fluffy towels (but nowhere to hang them if you wanted to use them twice). Basin in room - to compensate for shared bathrooms being only option in main building. Good reading lights. Shared bathrooms were clean and good shower flow. Cons Being on main highway it can get noisy...

Our stay here was, to be honest, a bit mixed. Firstly, the staff were all delightful. The room was beautifully renovated, bed comfortable and shared bathrooms were not a problem. Lovely hot showers :) Good quality tea, coffee and toiletries provided and the price was very reasonable. However... The noise!! We stayed here on a Sunday night and I'm surprised...

Large rooms decked out in a mix of fairly modern and handmade country style. Stayed two nights (Friday/Saturday) and honestly expected it to be louder than it was. Located right in the middle of everything and the help of excellent staff made getting around a breeze, even for someone taking public transport.
