The cottage was exactly what I expected. A cosy and peaceful place. I loved all the little details and the owners were very nice. We also ordered dinner, which was delicious and not expansive at all. I even saw a wallabee on our last day ! And the bathtub is a must. Would definitely recommand this place, for at least...

Had a one night stay at Lyrebird cottage. Place was big and clean. There's a fireplace to keep the house warm. Tessa remembered that we were interested in visiting healesville sanctuary and provided us discounted tickets the next morning. We even took a short forest trail and spotted a lyrebird! Thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Now is a great time of the year for seeing the lyrebirds and getting cosy in front of the fire!

Delightful haven for those wanting to escape. From the fresh bacon, eggs, bread and homemade jams that make up your first morning's breakfast; the marshmallows and hot chocolate in the pantry; the champagne stopper in the cutlery draw; the essential oils in the oil burner next to the spa; the binoculars that sit in wait on the table to the...

Magic location and surrounds. Very comfortable and clean. Has all the facilities you need and more. Had a great night with the fireplace to keep us warm and make it even more enchanting. The massage organised by Tess & Stewart was fantastic. Great choice of masseurs. We wished we had a few more days to enjoy it more. Marco &...

Fabulous getaway cottage. Deep in the quiet surrounds of the bush. Plenty of wildlife and walking. Home is super, welcoming and warm during this cold snap. Tessa and Stewart were lovely and the start up provisions were more than adequate.

Wonderful relaxing weekend to celebrate our Anniversary. Very clean and comfortable. The full kitchen facilities are a bonus given the Cottages are down a long windy unsealed road which we didn't want to navigate at night. Not for the faint hearted! Great spot to just relax by the fire with the sounds of nature in the background. It rained the...

Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed the rain, it can be relaxing to sit by the fire and watch the wind blow through the forest. And I agree our country road certainly is unfamiliar and a challenge to some although most guests really enjoy the drive through the forest, I hope you did as well. It...

The room was modern and spacious. All the pleasures of a comfortable stay were there. Cool tunes on the stereo, romantic videos, great breakfast food in the fridge and pantry. They have a balcony to sit on and enjoy the sun setting over Melbourne. The views down the valley were spectacular. We walked around the property and startled several lyrebirds....

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Peace and serenity is what we hope we offer. Sometimes it's just nice to step aside from the 'busyness' of daily life. Even better if you can connect with the natural world!

Spent a wonderful weekend in a cottage here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The weather closed in after our first night but we did manage to glimpse a wonderful view before that......we did see lyrebirds but missed out on the wombats. The weather made it all the more cosy and gave us even more opportunity to laze away in the...

Escaped for a night away for partners birthday, Tess was marvelously welcoming, full of terrific tips on where to dine in town. The cottage it's self was wonderful, cosy, warm and inviting with the little luxury touches that really did make for a most memorable and relaxing get away.
