Best eating establishment in Heathcote, certainly not "cheap eats" but not over the top price wise either. They have half serves of some dishes which are a gigantic meal on their own and represent great value. Fantastic friendly and efficient staff, welcoming and very friendly host. Meals are hot and quick to come. Pub was very busy when we were...

You're a bit spoilt for choice in Heathcote for eateries. This place came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. There were 14 of us in the bushwalking group up from Melbourne for a long weekend and this was our meal out . All of us enjoyed our food and the service was prompt. The menu is extensive - not...

I get a little excited when I walk into a pub with a menu that hasn't evolved into tapas and expensive crud. Cheap and hearty meals ahoy bangers and mash, Parma, steaks and rissoles darl! Cold beer and friendly service. Pool table, beer garden... Top spot I'll return

Where to start the litany of praises? When we walked in we were met by the cheeriest soul who assured us that no booking would be no bar to being seated. She gave us a great table. We ordered (through the same cheery soul) at a bar area. She mentioned the mixed grill and the idea of a Pub mixed...

Once again we have been struck by the hospitality of the locals. After working a massive day at a local site , my feet were so sore I couldn't be bothered getting out of the truck. We did a drive thu' for some beers and Mary ( the owner) gave us a bottle opener in case we didn't have one...

Was going to stay here but after having the 'turkey roast' decided we could probably do better than the expected chenille bedspread with the obligatory kettle with the short cord. If you want to take a step back 50 years - this is it - just a note of caution - the prices are definitely up there in the now...

Had dinner with 12 friends and ALL were saying how good their meal was. They have a good selection, reasonable prices on meals and drinks. I had a Pizza Parmigiano, yes, thats corect. It is a large chicken Parmagiano with a delicious pizza style topping. A great mix of flavours and like all their meals a large serving. Off course...

They have a great wine list of local wines so it is a good way to try them by the glass. The food is typical pub bistro - bring a hearty appetite with you as the portions are extremely generous. The Hotel is both suitable for large groups of 40 people as well as tables for 2.

The hotel is old but the food is excellent. It has great choices of steaks, seafood, pasta, vegetarian and many more. Vegetables are self serve and cook to perfection. The pasta is excellent and the roast lamb to die for. Servings are plentiful and very tasty. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome at all times. The...

We came up from Melbourne and stayed here to attend a friend's birthday dinner which was held in the hotel's restaurant. The Guinness was hands-down the best Guinness I have ever had outside the UK. Fabulous. The meals all seemed excellent - some people had steaks, some the seafood - but everyone who had the chicken camembert (including me!) was...
