Essentially this accommodation is now well overpriced for what you get. The room we had was large and clean, but old fashioned in its decoration and bathroom fit out. This was the best part. The communal area was musty and dark. So much so that I couldn't bear to have breakfast there and went to a local cafe instead. The...

We came to Healthcare on bicycles during a week long cycling tour around central Victoria. We arrived sweaty, tired and hungry on a very hot afternoon and were received with courtesy and warmth and given a good simple meal at a time to our convenience. We had a quiet night going early to bed and then we rose early to...

Comfortable rooms very very convenient to the winery (it's next door) in the centre of town so close to shops . We have stayed a couple of times here and we enjoy the times we have come . The drive from Melbourne is a nice pleasant drive with nice country views. The Emeu Inn B&B is well worth the trip...

We had a breakdown whilst travelling and as we had a dog we contacted Leslye. She was extremely helpful from the outset and although our stay was not planned it turned out to be a fun part of our trip. It was a nice change to stay somewhere that is so accommodating for pets and if you are travelling with...

Thank you for your review. We always appreciate hearing from our guests that they enjoyed their stay and found Emeu Inn to be comfortable for them and their pets. When unexpected circumstances happen, it can be very stressful, so we are happy you were able to enjoy your short visit and dining in our on-site restaurant. We hope the campervan...

There are some lovely aspects of staying here - the comfortable sitting room and outdoor area are charming and the tea-making facilities as well as the port and fruit cake very welcome, and makes a nice place to socialise with other guests. Beds are good and our room and ensuite a good size and very clean with plenty of wardrobe...

I was disappointed to see this review. The guests expressed no displeasure to me and we had numerous conversations because a relative who was to stay never arrived. Perhaps we were all distracted. Our restaurant has responsibility for continental breakfast which is what we have offered for years. This is well publicised on our website, so to be disappointed is...

We stayed in the cottage as we had our dog with us. Traveling with a dog can be difficult so it was great to find a place that is happy to accommodate pets. There is a doggy door available to use and the garden right outside which is quite pleasant. The cottage itself is fairly large with a sitting room...

I have just noticed this review or I would have responded earlier. I'm pleased our guests found our property clean with lots of extras and good space. The Cottage is the largest of our rooms and has lots the suites don't have (eg. large fridge, own lounge/dining area, pet-friendly, etc). Our property's main building is an 1857 gold miner's pub,...

I travel for business regularly. It takes me to all sort of locations with all sorts of accommodation. Additionally, when the client is forking out the readies, one also needs to remain grounded on what the expectations for accommodation should be, particularly in regional and remote locations. So, when you are in a small town and the client is paying,...

Leslye met us at the door and introduced the pets, and assisted with our luggage. The room was comfortable, clean and had all the facilities we required although only a small TV which didn't bother us as we prefer to read. They even provided a free port night cap which could become habit forming!! The continental breakfast left in the...

Thanks, Ken. We're happy you enjoyed your stay. I'm a bit worried , however, about sleep quality only being a 3. Did you not sleep well? We usually get raves for our comfy beds. Hope you enjoyed your golf. Next time try Heathcote's excellent course!

We found the emu inn average. The rooms need a makeover as they look tired and dated, especially for the price charged per night. The fireplace has a lot of dirt and dust. Only saw the owner once when giving us the receipt and she wasn't overally friendly. Now to the continental breakfast, well I wouldn't call it that. The...

I am sorry that "honeymooners" didn't have a positive experience at Emeu Inn or in the Willow Room for breakfast. As the owner/host, I try to greet customers, but not be around too much. I find Australians, in particular, want their space, so after getting them set up, I leave guests to their own devices and let them know I'm...

For getting out and enjoying the Heathcote Shiraz region this was the perfect place to call home. We were welcomed in by Leslie on our arrival with her warm and friendly nature.
