We stayed here for over a week whilst working at Lancefield. Kate and Peter are wonderful hosts. The room was a little on the small side with a lack of hanging space, but this was more than compensated for by the extensive indoor and outdoor areas available.

Highly Recommended. Room very comfortable and cosy. Continental breakfast and a beautiful breakfast room. There is a sunroom for sitting and reading or a cuppa. Very happy. Recommended the Lancefield Hotel for Dinner.

We rather liked this guest house, and agree with all comments made previously! Kate was delightful, kind and friendly, and there is definitely a laid back approach to running the guest house...as she said to me, "it's as hard as you want to make it". It's a fair point! We had a room away from the main building, which was...

We were very surprised to read the review entitled 'No hospitality here", so much so that we thought we would make our own trip advisor account to review The Lancefield Guesthouse ourselves. We have stayed at the Lancefield Guesthouse on three separate occasions and have nothing but positive things to say about this business. We hired the guesthouse for a...

We had such an amazing weekend at the Lancefield Guest house I had to share it with you all. What a beautiful guest house and gorgeous gardens. The owners have done an excellent job. Our room was so peaceful and had everything we needed plus very clean, neat and tidy. We enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and having a cup...

Sorry to be so negative, but we paid for a guest house, and got a very average motel room. We chose this place based on the three good reviews we read here, but mostly because of availability on short notice over the Labour Day long weekend. We had told Kate that we would be arriving probably after 7pm, and that...

My wife and I spent two nights at the guesthouse in the middle of a cold winter. The room and the entire guesthouse were extremely well presented. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Very relaxing place to chill out for a few says. A roaring open log fire would be a great addition.

I attended meetings hosted at the conference facilities at the guest house, and spent two nights there. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and it's really got that country warmth and hospitality you hope for. The dinner was great, and the catered lunches simple but a good variety of food. Breakfast was continental with a variety of cereal, toast...
