Had two nights at Port Phillip Estate and it was amazing! Pure luxury from the moment you step inside the front door. Rooms are incredibly spacious with outstanding views over vineyards. All furniture, linens, kitchen and bathroom supplies of extremely high quality. Fantastic team who are all professional, friendly and accommodating. Great cellar door and restaurant on site. Would highly recommend staying here, we can’t wait to stay again.

Port Phillip Estate is a romantic getaway on the Mornington Peninsula. The accommodation is luxurious, and the housekeeping is excellent. You will get a good night's sleep on these comfortable beds. You can have a mid-week escape or a weekend getaway. The winery and restaurant are great to celebrate that a special occasion.

Spent two nights at Port Phillip Estate on their Dolce Vita package.

Wow - from the moment we arrived right through to our departure we were made to feel at home.

The accommodation is very spacious and well appointed - nothing was wanting. Designer dressing gowns, Aesop products and huge bath with candles provided for that touch of romance. A little area is provided with fridge with fresh milk a toaster and kettle and nice Nespresso machine (with plenty of capsules) and of course a mini bar.

The bed itself was very comfortable set at the end of the room a couple of steps above the lounge area with views out across the vineyards to the bay. Good reading lights which can be dimmed.

Very large couch with large artwork above and marble coffee table sets the living space, a wall mounted TV is provided which swivels around so it can be watched from the bed.

We had dinner and were given a table by the window with glorious views out across the vineyards and bay. The food and service was excellent - highly recommended. The package included the dinner and a bottle of estate wine. We did the wine tasting earlier that afternoon so knew what we wanted. The wines are very nice and we bought a mixed dozen including some museum Pinot Noir.

Breakfast is a continental affair which was delivered with a warm smile at a pre-arranged time. it consisted of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereal and warm bread (hence the toaster), with orange juice. Superb.

Despite it being a long weekend and consquently the public areas were busy with wine tastings and lunches we were made to feel like family and nothing was too much trouble.

Will definitely return.

After a sensational lunch a couple if months ago we returned for a double birthday and 5 yr anniversary celebration. We had such high expectations, but were quite let down. Accommodation guests seem to be an afterthought here, there is no official area for guests to be greeted and welcomed, we had to do this at the restaurant, and in spite of the $900 price tag there was absolutely no fuss over us at all, and the staff were almost non plussed at our arrival. The half bottle if Pol Roger was standout with our package and it took the staff over and hour to supply a bucket of ice. When we wanted to change our dinner booking with 'reception' no one answered the phone. So we're were left to enjoy the beautiful view and room with a very 'cold' welcome. Nonetheless we were excited about our dinner and the entrees were good but nothing sensational, last time we got a choice of dinner rolls this time no luck, and our bread plates were taken away without consent! My main was a chewy over cooked and inedible rabbit with delicious fancy sides of veg and salad which was a real shame. We told the waiter and soon the manager was on board to try and make up for it with cheese and wine, but it was too late the damage had been done. As the night grew the view disappeared and we could hear the adjacent wedding party having a ball and suspected that this may have been the reason why the service was so lacking this evening! perhaps it was our fault with such high expectations or the fact that you should never return to a place once so enjoyed, nonetheless we left a little underwhelmed with the whole experience and saddened by the fact that we may not get such a generous babysitting option from relatives in the near future!

We stayed here on a Sunday night for my girlfriends birthday and also had the 'Naughty Long Lunch'... the winery & building is incredible and the experience was amazing! The people were really nice and were so accommodating to us. We arrived late just as it was getting to the end of when orders for lunch could be taken and it wasn't an issue. After our mains, we wanted to leave the restaurant to do wine tastings (before they closed @ 5pm) and the restaurant said it wasn't a problem and even came over to us at the wine tasting to confirm what desserts we wanted and to take our time.

Everyone was really friendly and the architecture of the building is brilliant. The room we stayed in was room No. 2 (of only 6 rooms) and it was very clean and cosy!

Breakfast was included and arrived the next morning at a time that suited us... we then sat outside our room overlooking the vineyards having breakfast that included fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, cereal, juice, etc.

Overall, a great stay and experience and would recommend to anyone considering!!!

Our daughter is getting married here and we came down to do a food and wine tasting and stayed overnight in this luxury retreat. Rooms absolutely gorgeous and the beds were so comfortable. Spectacular vies overlooking the vineyards. Breakfast superb and delivered to the room. More like a country home than a hotel. Brilliant!

The accommodations at Port Phillip Estate feel like a well-kept secret. The rooms themselves are very private, downstairs underneath the tasting area and restaurant, and have stunning views of the back property, including the vineyards--and the bay! The entry to the downstairs area as well as the rooms themselves are controlled electronically, since there is no staff at the estate after 5 pm. It's more like a bed and breakfast in that sense.

The rooms are huge, with a separate sitting area, couch, and table as well as a big TV. The bed is on a raised platform, and the bathroom is very spacious, with a full soaking tub and a nice rain shower. We had lunch at the restaurant, which was one of the best meals on our trip, and also really enjoyed the wines from the estate. The daily breakfast provided was very nice and a good amount of food--yogurt, granola, two loaves of bread, juice, and milk. It wasn't a ton of food but was perfectly adequate for a breakfast.

We also considered staying at Jackalope, and we did go there for dinner and thought it was very cool, but it's definitely a larger hotel versus Port Phillip. It's also more expensive, so we felt this was a better value. All in all, a great stay.

The Pros (in order):
Room / Interior Design / Architecture - modern styling and the rooms felt brand new
Amenities - Aesop toiletries were fantastic, and fresh rainwater in the rooms were a nice touch. Nespresso machines in each room and half bottles of their excellent wine can be purchased in-room.
The View - magnificent, one of the best on the peninsula

The Cons:
Price - the rooms are very over-priced by world standards, but probably only a bit over-priced by Australian standards

A midweek getaway to enjoy the lunch and accommodation package was a glorious mini break. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking and the food and wine at lunch measured up. Special mention to the house made bread.

The rooms are spacious, modern and oh so refined. High end finishes throughout showed a great eye for detail. Continental breakfast didn't disappoint and rounded out a memorable experience.

Luxury.
