The room was so so ? No intructions on phone ,no check out time posted on back of door,no instructions of how to operate TV. Seen black mold in the corners, little fridge was rusted on the bottom. Had no cash to make change at front desk. Cat wandering around in the lobby? Staff on night shift more interested staying on the phone than helping the guest. Would I stay again ? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We reserved 7 rooms. Most smelled really bad, like mildew. My room had wet carpet from window a/c unit leaking, extreme mold smell. I told front desk and no one checked on room or tried to wet/ dry vac the water up. All booked & no other opening in town. Window didn't close completely at top. Water stains in just about each room. holes from prior leaks in walls. Mold in bathroom and cracks around tub. I had to go to grocery store and buy several cans of Lysol, room air fresheners, odar removing candles. I sprayed 3 times a day, and just mask smell. They advertise breakfast buffet with eggs, but said they were having issues getting eggs from suppliers. I mentioned store was a mile away and they sold eggs. When eating in lobby, we had to ask for table to set up to eat, and they didn't wipe it down. They would not let us use remote when in lobby while eating, and was an inappropriate movie on for young children. Lobby bathroom was not open to guest, many of us was offended by this label. Holes in room curtins. They never came to rooms to clean or give fresh towels. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Fresh towels were not always available. An abandoned cat was allowed to jump on all counters and tables in lobby. Never saw anyone clean lobby. Rooms were darkish and one floor lamp in the room had no outlet to plug lamp into. Pool chairs looked to have not been cleaned in years. Snack machine did have prices labeled. Remote didn't control TV. If I could give a zero rating review, I would.

This place is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Entire place smells like an ash tray. Rooms haven’t been updated in 30 years. Room next door was blasting music at 1:30am and staff was unresponsive. Will be asking for full refund!

Bathtub was disgusting, mold all over the place, roaches breeding in the room. I can't imagine the positive reviews were from people who actually stayed there. I slept in my clothes on top of the bed. Nothing was clean.

Awful experience. We did not get the room we reserved. Blood on the sheets. Very large space between window and frame that they attempted to fix with duct tape. Rock hard beds with flat mix matched pillows. Front desk staff was less than helpful and house keeping should be fired. Bathroom was gross and there were jelly packs on the floor by the heater. I have pics of all of it and intend to inform the owners. Needless to say we will not be back.

One of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. Smelled awful. Beds terrible. Entire place needs a serious upgrade and update. Stains. Mold on walls. Had to buy room deodorizes to tolerate spending the night we had already paid for. Photos on line DO NOT show a true depiction of the facility

The breakfast was great and they were so welcoming for us and our dog. A great stop between NYC and Atlanta. You get what you pay for so don’t expect 5* luxury, but safe comfortable accommodation, we could not complain!

Very poorly maintained hotel in mountain city. Mostly it smelled very strongly of cigarettes but some rooms smelled of cat urine. We had a lot of family staying here so I saw a lot of rooms. The rooms were also not well cleaned. However the front desk staff were helpful and hard workers. The breakfast was included and was good.

We reserved this hotel with plans to play Red Tail Golf Club less than one mile away. After moving into our room, I found that Red Tail is turning private, and currently has only 10 holes open for play. Rats! So much for golf! The hotel intself needs a good exterior power washing, fresh carpeting in the foyer and brighter lights in the dim lobby. The large fireplace in the lobby was impressive, though it filled too much of the space. The staff was unaware of any of Red Tail's conversion to the private status, but were relatively uninterested in the news. I do give props to the room-cleaning gal, who was trying to make the accommodations presentable all by herself that day. Our room on the second floor was OK at best, with mediocre beds and bedding.. The bathroom had no soap, shampoo, or lotion, and rather small bath towels. We paid good money to stay one night, but they may have been the only game in town. I'd suggest that this be your stop only as a last resort on a long trip. Heading east, you'd find a place better in Boone.
