I took my wife on a spur of the moment overnight getaway to Pigeon Forge to keep her mind occupied since today (Jan. 7) would have been her dad's 80th birthday and I was wary when I got Pin Oak Parkway Inn on Hotwire because of the bad reviews. But we were pleasantly surprised, especially for $29. The name has changed to Smoky View Inn, which was confusing once we got here and Google Maps was trying to direct us here but we didn't see a sign for Pin Oak Inn. My wife called the number Hotwire gave us and the front desk clerk told her of the name change. When we called my dad for his birthday (Jan. 6) and I told him what we were paying he joked, "I hope you don't have to use an outhouse" then when I posted the picture of the room that I have posted here on Facebook, Dad commented, "oh good an indoor bathroom." Anyway it's close to a bunch of stuff, as you can see in the pictures. I took them in the parking lot from behind our car. You can walk to Hard Rock, Hatfield and McCoys, WonderWorks and the Titanic. It's a busy street so you may want to drive though. There are a ton of other things around it within a mile or less, both attractions and restaurants. The Island shopping and dining is about a mile and a half away. We will not hesitate to stay here again. I have four days off at Valentine's Day and with it being midweek, rooms are cheap. If I can get this motel again cheaply, we will stay here again.

Had stayed here once before and it was ok for the money. Was run down some but clean, but you can't expect great for that price. This time room was really run down, disheveled furniture, tape on bottom of tub, broke stopper for tub, nasty and run down heater which wouldn't heat the bathroom but heated the room.. first thing the jacuzzi tub would not run any water on the faucet for hot water. Maintenance came and fixed it. We first filled up tub with cold water and turned on jets to be sure they worked and no mold in jets. Then let water out and ran it again and took a bath. While in the tub my boyfriend noticed floor all the way to bed felt soft and squishy, when pressing on floor water was coming up around the interlocking sections of the flooring. And I was still in the tub and had not overfilled tub or got out of the tub.so no reason for floor to be leaking water. We were upset about it but a short time later we tried to run another bath and the hot water faucet would not cut off. He went to front desk and maintenance was called again he worked on the faucet and we made him aware of the water under the flooring. Then we requested to move rooms especially. We had to go back and forth with maintenance and the front desk , and both of them supposedly talked to manager on phone then was told they would not move us then my boyfriend asked for a refund and was told we would have to deal with booking.com if we wanted to get a refund.my boyfriend stated front desk was rude towards him when he turned the keys in and checked out. We did not get refunded for that night supposedly booking com is supposed to pay him money back for the second night. Have enclosed some pictures from the room. It's also in my opinion very shady that you can book this hotel under two separate names. Smokey view hotel is what is on the sign. But the two receipts have pin oak parkway and red carpet inn. Kind of makes you wonder why this property is operating apparently under 3 names

Pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews. The location is great, and the rooms were nice and clean. The sink was a little rusty, but clean. The floor looked new with manufactured flooring. The breakfast was decent with a waffle maker. A few years ago, we stayed at Dollywood with high expectations, and were not impressed. Just the opposite here low expectations but highly impressed. Decent stay at a great price!

I usually NEVER leave bad reviews and can see the best in anything but about the only good thing I can say about this place was at least it didn't have bugs! I'm not going to pick the room apart because I can overlook most cosmetic things but there is really no excuse for not having decent pillows. I wouldn't let my cat sleep on those pillows. They are cheap at any chain store so update them. The shower curtain hooks also didn't match. Not a big deal at all but they are $1 at the Dollar Tree so come on people!! If they don't care about the little things they definitely don't care about their guests. The thing that really did it for me though was that the room smelled like stale smoke and mold. I have highly sensitive lungs and felt like I could barely breathe. The air conditioner had so much dust and dirt on it I didn't even want to turn it on and to make it worse it blows right on you when you stand at the sink. There was no breakfast but that is par for the times. On the bright side the floors were newer and the TV worked great.

We stayed for 3 nights with no problems. The room was clean, ample towels were provided and it was close to everything! We had hot showers and no leaking of water anywhere. The woman who checked is in could have been a bit more friendly, but housekeeping was wonderful.

Not very good parking. Room is small. They are not properly cleaned. Everything needed repair. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and the faucet handle in tub was rusted and nasty looking. Cabinet was nasty couldn’t even put clothes in it.

Creepy long term residents hanging around outside all hours, dirt in room piled up in corners, mold on bottom shower curtain, sink was damaged and nasty, microwave was rusted with caked on stuff, dead bedbugs in the creases of mattress closest to bathroom with bedbug "poop spots" on the mattress. The chain for the door was ripped off, VERY dark in the room. location is great, but they charged us $100/night because it was the weekend. There were no more available rooms so we couldn't change rooms. I have seen reviews responded to by the owners saying you didn't tell us, both times we went to the office no one was there. This dirt filth built up was no a recent issue. We stayed in room 113 and if the other rooms were as bad as ours I don't see where their ratings are coming from.

We came to Pigeon Forge not realizing there was a car show/cruise going on and all the hotels were booked up. We found a room at the Pin Oak and it was an ok stay. The room was clean and didn't smell. The place needs some major updating but all in all it's ok. My only complaint is that there was some MAJOR price gouging going on and the Pin Oaks was no exception. The rooms was about 3 times what it normally would be but that was the case at all the other hotels also. Other than the price gouging I don't really have any major complaints about this place.
