Pigeon Forge is an amazing tourist destination. You need a place close to the action. This is for the family on a budget and yet a few levels above a motel.. Great location. The downsides. The breakfast bar is not great. If you want more than bananas for fruit..they don't exist. No yogurt, no milk for the kids. The toilet paper is so thin..you can see through it. Every single door needs WD-40. The bathroom door is mis-aligned. The comfy lobby chairs are crammed under the TV and the fireplace is out. The breakfast staff are barely awake by 7AM. They love CNN. The older early riser crowd looked ticked. They are ready to roll by 630 AM and they don't want to watch CNN. The beds are firm...which is a nice surprise. The TV options are good . The crowd tends to be older and quiet...A+ We may stay again but bring your own fruit, TP and WD-40.…
I stayed here mid week in June for 2 nights. Pigeon Forge was not my idea of a vacation, too busy and hectic, so I didn't want too spend too much money. This hotel was perfect!! The rooms were clean. The staff was all friendly. Check in was easy. While I didn't use the pool, it looked very clean and well kept. Breakfast was good (at least the male said it was), I was just happy the coffee was good!! It was a short drive to everything he wanted to do over here. I was definitely concerned about noise levels, when I saw all the large groups staying. I figured, like most hotels, there would be loud clomping in the halls, tvs blaring, doors slamming. I literally heard nothing in our room. I've stayed at hotels costing 4 times what this did and had to listen to tvs in adjoining rooms. The best part, for me, was the river. We didn't get a room with a balcony, but spent hours sitting outside by the river. There were flocks of Canadian Geese (yes, there is lots of goose poop, but that is part of nature), a Momma Duck with 2 babies, a heron, trout, gar and the lightning bugs at night were awesome. It definitely felt like an oasis in the middle of the chaos of Pigeon Forge. If I ever have to come back to this town, I would definitely stay again!!…
Although this is not a new hotel, its central location to all attractions, amenities, and level of comfort give it five stars. I was here for ten days and loved every moment! The hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff is incredibly helpful, and there is a free hot breakfast every day. There are laundry facities on site. But the location is the big selling point. You are only minutes away from almost all of the major attractions, and less than 20 minutes away from Gatlinburg. Within an hour, you can be over the mountains into North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. And an extra perk? A river runs along the back of the property, so you can go onto your balcony at night and listen to rushing water. It's fantastic!
This is a very old hotel. It may have been remodeled but it has a smell and it’s not super clean. It was fairly average. The only thing that wasn’t average was the breakfast. It was hot, tasty, and a lot of choices. For one night, it was fine but I wouldn’t stay there long.
Our room was very clean and nice. This is our 4th reservation in a year and have been pleased every time. Breakfast is included and has always been good. The hotel is next to a creek and it makes it so peaceful to sit on the balcony.
Good location, close to shopping, restaurants, attractions etc. Hotel is very clean. Room was clean and furnished nicely. Did not eat breakfast there. Only negative was bed was too firm for me. I would stay there again.
I found this hotel on Expedia while planning a trip for two of my girlfriends and me. I was looking for a place to stay, not too expensive but somewhere unique to the area, not a chain hotel like Best Western. Nothing against them, but I wanted to stay in a place more local. I'm glad I chose this place. It was indeed a gem. The hotel room was great and comfortable. I chose a room with two beds, which were spotless and for us comfy. Our balcony had a great view of a creek behind the hotel, where we could watch nature. Parking was great for us, but it could be an issue. It didn't appear they had enough spots for guests; if they did, it was the exact number of rooms. We usually came back at a decent time, but within 30-40 minutes after our return, the lot would be full, and that might be a problem for any guests that brought back a few friends or anything like that. Overall an excellent experience for my friends and me. We were close to pretty much everything we wanted to do. Some of the things we wanted to do were within walking distance. Let me also mention that the complimentary breakfast was great to start to the day. It was hot and fresh each day! No powdered eggs or cold microwaved breakfast meat. We only ate breakfast at the hotel during our stay. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay and would go back with my family on a family trip.…
Visited in October so inn was busy. Book ahead during peak season. Hotel was full and they were turning guests away. Easy check- inn, got a room with double beds with balcony overlooking river and main road. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Balcony wasnt really big enough to enjoy so i wouldnt pay extra for it. Breakfast was typical sausage biscuits gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, cereal, pastries, waffle, coffee and juice. Location within walking distance to some attractions. You would need to drive to the Island to shop/eat about 5 minutes by car. Overall rate was good so i would recommend.
We booked a 3 night stay, September 19-22. The first day we went to take a shower and it was covered with ants. Both the walls and the shower curtain. Called the desk and they came and sprayed. The next day there was still ants but they were dead all over the shower. In addition, we used the toilet and it was clogged. Called the desk at 9:30 am and by the time we came back after a day of sightseeing it was still clogged. Took multiple calls to get this fixed. Again, went to take a shower and the water pressure was so low we couldn't get the shower plug to stay up to get water out of the shower head. My husband had to hold it while I showered and the pressure was not there nor was there hot water. I had to so the same for him in order for him to shower. We headed out to dinner and reported it and was informed they had a water issue but it was now fixed. Great, it's a shame no one told us. I guess they were hoping we wouldn't notice. Check out day, we went to take a shower and there was no hot water and no pressure again. Skipped the shower and headed down to check out and speak to the manager. Manager wouldn't come out. The very nice front desk clerk, Jennifer, said she would talk to the manger and let me know how much credit for the inconvenience would be. No one called, but I got an alert on my credit card that a, get this, a huge credit of $25 was issued by Pigeon River Inn. Needless to say, I can not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was old and has had no updates since the 80's / 90's maybe.…
I had a Quick check in, plenty of parking, staff was friendly and helpful. My room was clean. Had a view of the river, which was nice. Conveniently, located to most of the things I needed to do. Look forward to returning, would recommend thank you.
