Upon arriving, we were hit in the face as we approached the elevator with the smoke of ....well, let just say, not your normal cigarettes. Someone was doing it in their room and it was wreaking out the cracks of the door. Our room smelled of old smoke, mildew, and funky dirty feet. The light fixture in the bathroom was help up by black electrical tape. The room was dark with no lighting on one side of the room. It reminded me of jail cells I have seen on TV. Very plain. Very dark. Nothing on the walls. Air Conditioner didn't pump out very cool air, just stinky air. All of our clothing had to be washed when we got home. Even my CPAP (sleep apnea) face mask and tubing smelled terrible after we got home. The smell permeated everything. The shower is an old one piece insert with about a 5'6" high shower head. We've stayed at a lot of motels/hotels and this one surprised me because I haven't seen anything this bad in years. They also didn't have any extra blankets and sheets in the room. We wanted to use the sofabed. So I went to the front desk. They gave me some. The blanket smelled so bad I didn't want my daughter to have to use it, but....what choice did I have at the time. They also didn't have extra pillows. So we took one off the other bed. Breakfast sausage and eggs were COLD. Would we go back to this motel? NO…
I got there late at night. The room was beautiful, well maintained and pleasing to the eye. It lived up to my expectations . I had a King and Queen, I took the king, oh, I felt like I was on a cloud! It had an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool, beautiful landscape. It had an elevator, so no stairs for me! A really good breakfast, perfect stay
Stay somewhere else. This pictures of this place are probably 5 to 10 years old. The hotel does have a indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, and also offers a free breakfast, but not worth the stay. Staff if not talkative, and welcoming. The room we were placed in was on the 2nd floor and had a small balcony. The balcony and room was literally 50 feet from the main highway. All i heard was traffic all night long. Also noise from people above us. The bathroom is small, and needs updating. Some small stains on bedspreads. Carpet needs a good clean. Button to elavator almost broken. Light in hallway outside room not working, Coffee maker in room not plugged in or working, Breakfast is from 600-930. Pretty much a free for all. People take whole bunch of bannans and leave none. Eggs luke warm, sasauge, luke warm, Staff not helpful or pleasant. Probably slept 3 or 4 hours here. Stay at a better hotel nearby and spend the money in Piegon Forge. Not here!…
We traveled for the first time with my brother-in-law’s family who own a dog. I made our reservations (2 rooms—1 pet friendly) on choice hotel website not on the hotel’s website. Upon arrival, we were told we could not stay bc this particular hotel only allows dogs 20 lbs or less. The manager was very kind to cancel both rooms without penalty. It was very much appreciated. Our family has stayed at this hotel in the past without any problems. I just wanted to be sure to say thank you again!
My family stayed for 2 nights June 8-June 10. We were traveling with our 3 children. The room was clean enough however the carpets are FILTHY but no bugs were seen. My issue arose at checkout. We noticed shortly after leaving the hotel that our 1 year old did not have her stuffed llama that she sleeps with. It was in the bed by the pillows from where she had slept with us the night before. We hadn’t went anywhere else and turned around and drove an hour back to get her animal as this damma (llama) is her FAVORITE toy. At this point the room had been cleaned by housekeeping. The woman at the front desk was more than helpful in trying to locate my daughters toy. The woman stated that the person who cleaned our room (Joe) kept his cart in the maintenance room and she did not have a key to get to it. She assured me that first thing the next morning they would check his cart for her llama. The next morning I heard nothing so I called. A very rude woman answered and would not listen to my story and only said they didn’t have her llama. I became frustrated and another woman got on the phone and stated they would look for it and call back in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later my fiancé called only to get the same rude woman again who’s story changed 3 times. First they checked the room and didn’t see her llama, then they couldn’t check the room because it was rented and they had a do not disturb sign up, then they supposedly checked laundry. They said it may have fallen under the bed and they would check as soon as they could enter the room. It is now Sunday and this all happened Thursday/Friday. The situation was left with they took our information and would call if it was found. My issue is I came STRAIGHT BACK, we hadn’t went anywhere else so I knew EXACTLY where her llama was. Either someone took my daughters cute stuffed llama and gave it to their kid, the housekeeper just threw it away, or they’re truly being lazy and refusing to look for it. Meanwhile I have a 1 year old who’s crying and sad looking for her damma. I’m very disappointed at the lack of effort on their part when I wasted no time returning for my property. PLEASE LOOK AND GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO PAY TO HAVE IT SHIPPED BACK TO US!…
