We stayed as we were passing through. Had a king, non-smoking room. Room smelled like an ashtray, felt very dirty. Bed didn’t feel clean. Shower curtain was musty. Room curtain had burn marks in it. We booked through Priceline and had a rate of $90/night.

We had stayed here a few years ago and rebooked it without reading the recent reviews, which had me a little worried after the fact. It was all for nothing. We stayed in room 212 for one night. We could hear a little road noise, but you typically do in most rooms in this area. We would definitely stay again and would recommend. It was clean. The bed was a little worn but still slept good. No complaints here.

In April, my family of 4 decided to take an impromptu trip to the Smoky Mountain area. Unfortunately, it was during Rod Run weekend, but no worries - I was able to snag a room at this hotel. I had stayed here before a few years back, and my review here on Trip Advisor was very good. The hotel, at that time, met our needs quite nicely with a great location, very friendly staff and a clean, comfortable (if a little dated) room. I pre-paid for this room on the strength of my last stay, and that was a mistake that I didn't see coming. We arrived, got checked in quickly and went to our room. Upon entry, I knew it would be a stay without any luxury, but was willing to deal with it. But with a bit more investigation, the room was NOTHING on the level of the standard they had at my last visit. Obvious paint peeling from the walls, only one working lamp in the room, not enough towels and washcloths for 4 guests, toilet paper holders broken...the list went on. We kept saying "It's only for the night - lets go eat and then come back and try to relax." We turned the heater on low and left to go sit in Rod Run traffic to get a bite to eat. We returned to an extremely cold room (temperatures dropped to freezing that night) and nothing we tried worked to heat the room. Finally, around 10pm, my husband went up to the front desk to get more towels, and to let the front desk know that we had no heat in our room. The desk clerk handed him more towels, and said "okay" to my husband's report about the freezing room and malfunctioning heating unit. My husband came back and we waited, but noone ever came to see about it. We kept our clothes on, and bundled up as best we could, taking the extra towels and stuffing them underneath the front and rear entry doors of the room, to keep out as much cold air as possible. After a miserable night of no sleep, we were anxious to check out. We turned in our keys and told the front desk person that nobody ever came to look at our heating unit. He said "I wasn't on duty, but I would've given you a oortable heating unit." I asked if there was any way I could get my money returned, and he said "No, there's no way we can refund your money. You'll have to speak with someone else." I immediately got on the phone with the reservations agent I used to book the room, and explained my situation. They got Riverview hotel on the line and they all determined that all they could refund me was 25% of the cost of my room. This was after suffering through a horriblly cold, freezing night in a room that was deeply sub-par from what it advertised. I understand that hotels tend to inflate their prices during certain times. BUT... If you are going to overinflate your room prices, you need to at least make sure that what you're inflating matches what you say on your website. If you advertise "clean, comfortable rooms," then understand a working heating and air conditioning unit is IMPLIED toward comfort, unless it's stated somewhere that the rooms are not temperature controlled. We weren't asking Riverview Inn to be the Ritz-Carlton. We were asking Riverview to give simple, standard excellence, and concern for paying guests in their establishment. We rejected the 25% refund, because 100% of that room was cold, not just 25%. They chose money over a REPEAT CUSTOMER's comfort. Enjoy it, because there will be no more of it from me.

So me and a few of my buddies were planning ahead to book a place to stay for rod run, and we came across this one and thought it’s a decent price and all the pictures looked great. We get there and we check into our rooms both of them have mold and mildew in them, well we were checking our rooms and on the sheets there were pee stains, the whole room looks as if it hasn’t been clean in a very long time visible dust on curtains, dirty floors etc…well my boyfriend is allergic to mold so my buddy went and told the front desk. She took him to look at other rooms and said there’s only one room without mold and mildew so we took that room and started checking it out. To our surprise it was decent the beds were clean, so we started checking other things bathroom, sink, back patio and then the fridge. The inside didn’t smell or anything it was pretty much good, but we pulled it out and looked underneath of it and found a big black bag. My buddy poured the bag into the sink and it was drugs on a spoon wrapped in cigarette plastic, a weight, and a rope so we did what any logical person would do and called the police to come and get it. The officer came and got it and said we were in the clear that it wouldn’t come back on us he informed us to go tell the front desk so my buddy did and the front desk got mad at him. All because he should of came to them first and not called the police. That was in just one day. The shower floor is really slick and so is the bathroom floor. Overall just a bad experience I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here

When we first walked into the room it appeared decent. Then I tried to turn on the light by the bed and it didn't work. When we tried to turn on the TV it didn't work. At least we were able to get the TV going ourselves because we figured out it was not plugged in and the cable cord had been disconnected. It would be nice to have a place to hang our clothes. And, with two people in the room it would be nice to have more than only two bath towels. On a positive note, the check in staff was friendly, and when I went to ask for washcloth hand towels an additional bath towels, he also brought me bath mats. The mattress was okay on the bed. If you decide to stay here, you might want to bring your own soap and shampoo, they had limited amounts. And it would be nice if you didn't have to keep the toilet paper on the back of the toilet since the toilet paper dispenser is broken. There was a balcony overlooking a creek, but not the piled up concrete blocks behind the hotel did not make for a great view. Pricey for what you get.

If you have an option of any other hotel/motel in the Pigeon Forge area please take it. Our room was probably the worst of any we have ever stayed at. Turned down the bed and found a bee between the sheets. There was no table or dresser in the room, only 2 chairs. The bathtub/shower looked like it had been retiled recently but the tub floor was so slick you could hardly stand up and there were no grab bars or hand holds. The toilet seat was not attached to the base, the vanity sink was cracked in several places. Checking in was like going to a Motel 6 with the clerk behind a glass wall and no lobby entry. If I thought I could get a room elsewhere I would not have stayed. Only good thing I have to say is that the a/c worked pretty well.

Absolutely horrible dirty rooms. When complaining they refused to give me a manager or money back. Toilet paper holder broken/contractors dusk everywhere, gum/food on floors, no frig/iron/hairdryer/tissues/place to hang cloths HORRIBLE

If you just need a decent price, a decent room come here. This is not for the faint of heart. I'm not a overly picky person but this kind of got me. Now before I get to negative I will say this, the few times I had to interact with the staff, they were very friendly. Now on to the not so good stuff 😕. The one bed was completely sunk in the middle. The pool water had leaves in it and mainly needed a quick tidying. This was solved the next day a little... only because a storm had pushed all the lounge chairs into it. Not trying to be rude, it just seems like this place became tired. There was a unpainted spot above our mirror, that needed slight attention. Its a quick fix, but like I said this place seems like it has become a to do list that someone lost. Had I not slipped (my own fault) I wouldn't have moved the bed. I'm sorry but okay gross...there was something (spilled that stayed)under there along with enough crumbs to make a box of crackers. Everything else was fine 🙂. No bugs, I checked A LOT, decently clean bathroom, and the balcony was very nice. I don't think I would stay here again unless I saw that it was renovated. Again, for the price if you really need a quick place to stay...ehh. Oh, the AC was fantastic!

One thing I will applaud this hotel on is it's staff. They were all very friendly and customer service driven, which is getting rarer during Covid times. That said, the hotel does need a major update and remodel. Our room featured a jacuzzi tub and private balcony, which was awesome, but there were multiple spiderwebs on the balcony and the room was permeated with the smell of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. They're are multiple cosmetic issues but overall the room was clean. The door to the balcony had warped with age, and so didn't seal properly. Location for this hotel put is within 10 minutes of all the attractions we wanted to see as well as so many options food we had a hard time choosing.

the only thing good i can say about it was a good location. a few place to eat within walking distance. we stayed a week but they only cleaned our room one time. mostly a dirty and cheap place but don’t expect any services. after we left i call to see if i left something behind. they told me to call back later but when i did they never answered my phone calls again.
