I really wanted to like this property due to the many good reviews about it being so clean and priced so low. However, I was so disappointed with the experience that I could not believe people were talking about the same place. We were in the bed for no more than 10 minutes when we felt like we were being bitten and were itching all over. We flipped on the lights and pulled back the covers (we checked earlier but saw nothing) there were FLEAS all under the sheets. They were jumping everywhere. It was disgusting. I went downstairs immediately and asked for a refund. The guy at the front desk struggled to understand what I was talking about and called the main manager on the phone, handed it to me and made me talk on his personal cellphone to the lady. After rejecting the offer for a new room multiple times, he began my refund. Instead of crediting my card, he CHARGED me for the room rate again. I had to explain this to him and he still was struggling to understand what was going on. When he finally understood what had happened, he apologize and said he’d just give me cash for the amount I was owed. Seemed unprofessional, but I took it and peeled out of that place fasted than I could blink. I found another room down the strip that was perfect, lower priced (due to it being so late at night) and was spotless and stunning. I think this hotel was a great option to save money back in the day, but I think with the change in ownership, it is going downhill very fast. I would not recommend.…
Our hotel was clean! The beds were more comfortable then other hotel beds we’ve slept in. The water was hot! And the pressure was amazing! The pool was nice and clean. The staff was helpful and polite. And the location was perfect! If there was anything to complain about it would be that some of the plug in outlets need replaced in the room we stayed in, but I’ll take that small inconvenience. We recommend people to stay here, and this will probably be our future place to stay also…
My room was right in between both families, but I think they knew each other since they would walk, holler, or let their child push an office chair back and forth in front of our room. He would hit the trash can that hit the AC of our room and it was like they were going to come through the wall. If he wasn't on the sidewalk he was out in the parking lot even when cars were driving in it. Each room came with a chair in the front when we would come out and sit but it was gone. They were good enough to bring it back. When I had to go get ice I had to walk around groups of men and I did feel uncomfortable at times because like I said being in the middle of both families either way I went there they were in groups of 8 or more, so walking down the sidewalk was impossible. If they weren't sitting around in chairs on the sidewalk, they had the tables from the rooms out on the sidewalk cooking with Coleman grills on them near the rooms. So I would have to walk in the parking lot around them. Then you had the trash in the parking lot walk around. I guess if it wasn’t for the grandmother picking it up I would have look like a real dump. I wanted the room in the back because it would be quieter. I saw an overview of the place on Google Satellite and it looked like a wooded area. This was just the start of it. Another family joined in but this time they added Bluetooth Speakers that the music was so loud that it was hard to to even enjoy a conversation. To drown out the sound we had to run the fan continuously so that you couldn’t hear it but it didn't work. I understand it was a holiday week and people are going to be loud, but even at 12am you kind of start slowing down with the noise. It would continue until 4am. I had to call the office and use my phone. I asked if there are microwaves in the room. They said why yes. I said not in my room. They replaced it fast. The reason why I called is that they did inventory and saw there was no microwave so they charged us for stealing one. As for the service of the room. Couple of odd things with the service. It was like they came in and just pulled up the blanket. I mentioned to my boyfriend how they didn't even put the crease under the pillow. It was just flat. The next day there was a crease in the blanket under the pillow. Now what made that even odder. They put the crease there. He laughed as if maybe I overlooked something. I said “No” because you want to know why before we left the room I took the corner out from the foot of the bed. If someone was going to go through the trouble of making a bed they would have made the whole bed. So yes they didn't clean the room, except for replacing the towels and getting the trash. I noticed when they were cleaning rooms they would leave them open and nobody would even be around them. That is a good way for someone to walk in and take a microwave from someone else's room. We would have gone somewhere else but what are you going to do on a holiday weekend?…
Great hotel. One of the cleanest hotels that we have stayed at. Regular door key. There is no breakfast but it was not advertised to have one. We did not use the pool but there were many people at the pool and they looked liked the enjoyed it. Price was great also.
We have stayed at the Mountain Aire for quite a few years and always loved it .! We knew it was a new owner but still wanted to stay as it always was so comfortable welcoming. I’m sorry to say we will not return 😬.. we left two days early as a matter of fact . The hotel and grounds are no longer the pride of the owners as we had previously enjoyed. We experienced guests who were staying long term I believe that were staying in the rear of hotel talking loud , sitting outside our room laughing and kids running in parking lot til late in the evening. It was not a pleasant experience. I booked a king suite and was initially put to the back area but did not feel comfortable staying in the back as all of the men had chairs blocking the sidewalk area . However they offered us a different room … a very small room with full size bed and same price 😵💫. Lesson learned … but I was hoping for the same experience as before . I will miss all the flowers and seasonal displays !…
This motel recently changed ownership. I have been staying at the Mountain Aire Inn for about 7 years now and I have left at least two positive reviews. I have stayed multiple times annually on family shopping trips and alone since my family stays at the campground next door. The previous owners of forty years always worked so hard to keep the motel clean, beautiful and maintained. I really hope the new owners do the same, but my first impression of my stay under new ownership is less than good. After about 3 months of new ownership the motel was still very clean, but the customer service was awful. Upon arrival the fellow at the front desk was asleep. Like Literally alseep in the chair behind the check in counter. I closed the door loudly to wake him up and after coming to he muttered "checking in?" He never once smiled, never once welcomed me, and was barely awake through the whole check-in process. I asked for an extra luggage rack and was told "sorry, don't have any." ( has never been a problem in all my previous stays here) But apparently the fellow at the counter didn't have any desire to help so I we did without. At one point during my four day stay I tried calling the desk to ask a question but after numerous attempts I gave up because no one ever answered. Upon checking out I went in the office to turn in my keys but no one was out front to accept them in the office. I heard several people talking in the back and even though I rang the bell no one offered to come to the front. I left my keys on the counter with other keys assuming I wasn't the only person who had encountered this. I hate leaving this bad review but based on my experience at the motel and the nonexistent customer service, I unfortunately do not plan to stay here again. If the new owners do not care enough to put people at the front desk that care and have good customer service skills then I don't care enough to return. So sad to have such a bad experience after so many years of great stays. …
Sorry Place. When we arrived we were told the manager had cancelled our reservartion. We were left with no where to stay. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS MOTEL FOR ANYTHING. THEY RENT TO TGE HIGHEST BIDDER AND CANCEL LOWER RATE RESERVATIONS!!!!!!!!
The staff was VERY friendly and down to earth. Our room was VERY clean. We really enjoyed our stay and have told friends and family about Mountain Aire. There is a garden in the back that is very pretty. They have ramps to get to the upper level which is nice for those with hip and knee issues. Motel recently changed ownership. Great Rates and a clean room.
It is what is says it is. Older motel but clean and well maintained. Grounds are clean, plenty of lighting, room and furnishing adequate. You can tell the owners spend time taking care of this property. The only suggestion I’d offer is to bring a fan other sleep machine for sound. There is substantial road traffic.
