First, if you stay here on the weekend and plan to stay out past 10 PM, you'll be asked to park on an unlit street BEHIND the property. This while trucks take up two spots and trailers take up 4-5. Then you'll enter your King Suite that, well, is just an incredibly small room that happens to have a sitting room when you walk in. That's fine. Except the bathroom was basically the equivalent of a Motel 6 and the area where the king bed was is incredibly cramped bc they saved space to add a sitting rom. Oh, and don't expect a balcony overlooking the city as one who books a suite might as that's all you see when driving up to the property. No, they'll stick you in the back with a street lamp beaming on your window overlooking the rear parking lot. Then, when you complain, they tell you "Booking.com will say whatever they want to rent a room and that they cant check you out and refund you because you went through a third-party. However, when you contact Booking.com, they tell you its the property's responsibility... Either way, I would avoid this place like the plague. Unless you want a basic room, which probably comes with a balcony, then maybe its ok.

First, let me give kudos to the front desk staff. They were and are very nice and accommodating. Beyond that there was nothing here that showed me that this was a holiday inn of any kind. From front door to rooms there is nothing like my experiences with Holiday INN(and not being familiar with the area hotels chose this "Holiday Inn Express")

You know those Holiday Inn Express commercials with the theme that you will be smarter for having stayed here? Well, that doesn’t apply to this location. In fact, you will be asking yourself how could you be so foolish for actually booking this hotel. The only redeeming quality and the only reason it is getting two circles instead of one is Olga. When we checked-in she initially put us on the ground floor. Usually I have no issues with staying on the ground floor; however, that is in hotels where the walls are not paper thin. Noise from crowds coming through the lobby was one thing, but what really made the room unbearable is that when anyone in the rooms above flushed their toilet, a startlingly loud whooshing sound of water and waste erupted through the wall. After enduring this cacophony of sounds for over an hour, I had had enough. This is where Olga helps boost the rating. After informing her of our issues with the room and being unable to sleep, she was able to move us to the top floor away from the elevator. This turned out to be a better room from the fact that we didn’t have to endure the sounds of the crowds on the elevators and the flushing toilets. However, the walls are just as thin and the doors do not seal well from a soundproofing perspective. We still endured loud rumblings of the ice maker and slamming doors throughout the night. In fact, during our final night’s stay, our new neighbor chose to travel by way of stairs. The door to the stairwell is right on the wall where my weary head was laying attempting to fall asleep. The door closing mechanism is set in a such a way that when the door closes it slams with an intensity that shakes the entire side of the building we were on. He made at least 6 trips (12 door slams) over two hours. Oh, and he had a very large dog in the room with him. The dog must love him very much because every time he would leave the room the dog would whine and moan until his return. If you are a light sleeper, like me, I would definitely recommend selecting another option for your stay in this area. A cabin far away in the forest or mountainside would be my recommendation.

Dear MinterSC, I appreciate you for sharing your review about your recent stay. I am very sorry that you did not experience an exemplary hotel stay due to thin walls of our rooms and that you were not able to sleep because of the noise. This is certainly below our usual high standard of service. Please be assured that I have noted and forwarded your comments for the management to improve. In the midst of the inconvenience, I am glad to know that the service of our staff was still appreciated. I very much hope that you will grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again. Best Regards, Ben W. Case Manager IHGService

There are no gaskets on the bottoms of the doors, so all you could here all day and night was constant door slamming. There was mold growing on the ceilings of the showers and you could see parts of the baseboards through the carpet where old furniture use to sit. Also, the refrigerator froze my kids chocolate milk and my Frappuccino. Room 231 needs tlc.

Hello Clover87, Thanks for choosing to stay with us and leaving your honest feedback. We offer brilliant basics and a little more where it matters most. It is concerning that we missed the mark this time. I am sorry to hear that you find the sound proofing of the room and its cleanliness falling short of your expectations. I am also sorry that the fridge was not working properlty. I am sorry for the letdown. Thank you for bringing this into our attention as the feedback we receive from our guests like you, enables us to target problem areas and take the necessary actions to improve our guest services. I know that this stay may not have been the best but I am hopeful for another opportunity to welcome you back for an improved experience. Best, Ronald R. Case Manager IHGService

We choose this hotel every time we need a hotel in the Pigeon Forge area as we usually arrive the day before we check into our cabin. We like this hotel because of the bedroom arrangements. It is so nice to have the two King beds that are split with the bathroom in-between. Its gives both parties a large king bed and some privacy. The rooms are always clean and the staff very friendly. Well worth the money!
