The room was as described even better when everyday I had a basket of goodies in my room. Owners are so friendly and easy to talk and ask questions of the area..I hope to come again and bring the family.. I had the view of the river fall, I could drink my coffee sitting at the outside rocking chairs made...

This motel is probably the best there is in its price range. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the bedroom and bathroom. Several small touches made our experience very pleasant : free wi-fi, a nice TV, good quality linens and bath towels, tile in the bathroom, real glasses in a sanitary wrap, refrigerator, microwave, a curved rod that makes...

Class experience - traditional Smokies motel that has been refurbished. Quality surfaces and very clean. They made us a nice welcome basket - unfortunately after eating supper we could not try most of it but it was a nice personal touch. If you prefer to stay away from the chains (or want better value for your money) this is the...

We have visited the Smokies for years. Stayed in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge mostly until visiting Townsend last year. Townsend became our place and we stayed there twice. This week we found Townsend Gateway Inn and had the nicest time. Sitting in the rocking chairs with the view was so relaxing, the owners can't help but making sure you enjoy...

My experience was very nice. I was able to have my dog with me. Immaculate!! I really couldn't believe how clean it was. Very quiet. Reasonable price. Family owned which is important to me. Even offered to go purchase flavored coffee for me! WiFi is available. Little fridge and microwave. I will be going back.

We stayed here based on prior reviews. This motel reminds me of a true old style vintage motel. Like the ones I remember from family vacations with our station wagon parked in front of our door. However the rooms are CLEAN and updated with hardwood floors, new quiet heat/air units, and comfy bed . It is off the beaten path...

Very quaint, quiet and clean. Enjoyed the owners. Very friendly and accomodating. Pet friendly, nice walking area for pets or just to get outside and ramble The snacks after a long day of excurtions were nice. Thanks.

My husband and I were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary! It was a great weekend and the Gateway. Quiet, clean and everything we needed for our special weekend plus some snacks waiting on us when we got there! Highly recommend!

The last time we were in the area we stayed in Pigeon Forge which was frankly awful. This time after several thousands of miles on the road we stayed at the Gateway in and it was wonderful. Quiet, in a great location for walking and really comfortable despite the sub-zero temperatures. We were also able to walk a short distance...
