Not my first visit, nor my last. Family had a great, mellow time. Since was late autumn, it was rainy and chill most of the time; but our visit was for quiet and relaxation, and we got it. The fireplace was warm and the hot tub inviting. "On the peaceful side of the Smokies, indeed!

The Dancing Bear was the very best part of our Smokey Mountains experience. Incredible accommodations, remarkably pleasant and attentive staff, gorgeous facility, great amenities, we have nothing but the best of things to say about everything surrounding our time in Metcalf Bottoms at the Dancing Bear. We are now looking forward to our next visit to the area to enjoy...

This is a first class accommodation. Stone fireplace including've Beautifully decorated. King size bed was one of the most comfortable bed we've slept in. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Kitchenette has micro, fridge and small sink. Fridge stocked with juices, yogurt and water. Coffee pot and great coffee. Also homemade granola for the yogurt was great. Bathroom was...

I wanted to send a quick note thanking all of the staff at the Dancing Bear for helping to make my parent’s 30th wedding anniversary so special. The accommodations were neat, clean and very nice – every detail was considered, even down to breakfast items in room. The dinner with the family at the Bistro was first class, and the...

We were entranced the moment we entered Spruce Cabin. The room was spacious with a great walk-in closet. Plenty of lighting and the bathroom had a huge tub/shower. The king size bed was so comfortable, in fact, I found it hard to leave in the morning, wishing for a storm to come around and snow us in. Although Spruce cabin...

I have visited Dancing Bear Lodge on 2 occasions - once with my husband and once for business. I enjoyed both experiences tremendously. It is a lovely property with well-kept cabins and lots of nice little touches that seem home-like.

My husband and I thought that our stay at this lodge, specifically the LeConte cabin, was very peaceful. I had emailed the Director of Sales with a couple of minor issues, and she told me that this cabin is slated for renovations during the holiday season. The interior was cozy, with its fire place and comfortable furniture; the exterior was...

I found Dancing Bear Lodge about a year and a half ago when searching for lodging in that area and discovered one of our favorite getaways to date. We have stayed at the property now about six times, and have had nothing but outstanding and memorable experiences. The cabins are luxurious, clean, and private. I was pleased that our cabin...

“We stayed in the Metcalf Bottoms cabin. We like the fact that the porch was completely open, didn't have the privacy wall around the hot tub. Had a better view than some of the other cabins and we didn't plan on using the hot tub so the privacy wall wasn't needed. Loved the porch swing also.”
