overpriced and lacking upgrades. staff lacks personality. enjoy the national park and cades cove, but stay elsewhere. St Marys is about 10 miles away, but you have more choices. Avoid Gatlinburg as well. These tourist meccas just don't seem to care.

This overall Tremont property is beautiful. It is on the quiet side of the Smokey Mountains and a few miles away from the Smokey Mountains National Park entrance. Good restaurants and many water tubing companies are in the area. The design layout of the buildings on the Tremont property was great. Each unit had a little private patio and chairs...

I arrived very tired and was sent to house nr. 8. Only after unpacking I realized that my room did not have any day curtains or blinds. That meant you had the curtain open to have some day light and everybody from the parking lot could watch you or you closed them for privacy and had to stay/sit in the...

Hi Claudia, Thank you so much for staying with us last week, and for taking the time to give us your feedback. I just started here as GM in mid-February, and I completely agree that we need two-layer curtains (black-out and semi-sheer privacy) for our rooms. They are definitely on my list of improvements to make over the coming months...

This charming property is on the pleasant side if the Smokey Mountains. It's large property on a hill also has cabins, a RV park and a wedding and event center. They are very kind and helpful in the office even near closing time or after hours. There's a convention center, a spa, gazebo, pavilion and swimming pool. Maps help you...

I stayed here several times since 1990's but I was shocked to see how far it has fallen when I visited there recently. The manager on duty had alcohol on his breath at 3:00 in the afternoon. The standard rooms are simply dumpy and need serious renovation. Complimentary breakfast is gone also. The outdoor landscaping, which formerly won awards for...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review to give us your feedback. I just started here as GM in mid-February, and I wholeheartedly agree with the need for landscaping improvements...we have a variety of contractors working to give us quotes (which takes a while given the size of the 17 acre property), and we plan...

This hotel had very comfy beds! And, we had several family members staying in the area. They all supposedly had free wifi, but our hotel actually had one that worked! Building 3 had a nice view and rocking chairs on the porch

We could not find a hotel anywhere so we decided to try Townsend since it was a quiet area and away from the traffic. When we arrived the property itself was really pretty and quiet, they also had a nice indoor pool. The room was very clean and big, we have teenagers so we needed the room. The beds were...

Thanks so much for taking the time to write your review of our property, and we're so glad you enjoyed your stay! I'm surprised that there was much sound carry though...due to the block construction of most of our buildings we very rarely experience noise issues. If you'd like to e-mail me at amy@tremontlodge.com with your room number, I'd love...

Tremont was a nice place, but Hot Tube was not hot and one of our beds had grass in it. Strange It was to late to have the maid change them so we had to sleep on top the first night. After asking the next morning our sheets were changed. We were happy enough but weren't overly pleased we the...

We stayed here one night for our anniversary. The room was located beside the indoor pool and had a fireplace as well as a whirlpool jacuzzi. The room was very, very clean as well as the bathroom! It seemed recently renovated and we will definitely be staying again soon! Also, Townsend is a wonderful and quiet place to stay.

This was my first stay since being sold to new owners. It's a large property, but being off-season, it was peaceful. The room was clean and looked like it had been updated recently. My only complaint was that when I went into the bathroom, the toilet seat was up and there appeared to be dried urine on the bowl rim....
