We have stayed in a lot of B&Bs throughout our life but none like Ledford Mill. It's truly an old grist mill and much of the original equipment is still there and visible though not working. We stayed in the Falls Room, which opens to a small porch and has a view of the waterfalls about yards up the creek.... More

Really wonderful and unique place to stay! Our stay was positively unforgettable. On a very hot July day, the Mill was cool and peaceful. Very tasty country breakfast and delightful hosts. Highly Recommend

Absolutely one of the best B&B's we have stayed at because of the innkeepers, uniqueness of the room and the setting. Not far from civilization, but you feel like you are in a world all your own. We stayed in the Waterfall room and left the window open all night. An old millworks building with parts of the old mill... More

This is the best B & B I have ever stayed in. The area is Beautiful!. Go 1/4 mile north of the mill, and you will find another, smaller, natural waterfall. It's also very pretty. The property is built inside an old mill. Ask John and he will give you the complete tour. Make sure, and give them your cell... More

We stayed at the Mill for one night while on a long road trip. While the surrounding area is beautiful, the Mill is unique in every aspect. John will give you a great tour of the Mill and all the original milling machinery and parts that remain inside. We stayed in the falls room and had a beautiful view and... More

Very accommodating hosts allowed us to keep our drinks and snacks in the frig. Had the whole place to ourselves for our anniversary on a Monday and Tuesday in August. LOVED the creek rushing away directly under our room. This was our second visit and I'm sure we'll be back again!

The Ledford Mill B & B is a rustic building, with a lot of charm. When you arrive, you enter through an antique store. The three rooms are all very nice and each is unique. There is no internet or tv to distract you from Mother Nature's beautiful surroundings. The inn keepers, John & Mildred, are laid back but very... More

We stayed there for one night. The room was large enough to fit 3 people comfortable. The hosts were extremely nice however the room was a little musty or moldy. I guess the wood and the extremely humid outdoor creates this. Breakfast was great! Its about 10 minutes from Lynchburg. There is no parking lot (you park around the corner),... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Voted "most rustic" B&B in North America. A scenic wonder, the 1884 Gristmill, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Tennessee Heritage Trail, offers three unique rooms(each w/private bath) within the old "factory" setting. The Falls and Creek Rooms open onto the grounds surrounding the waterfalls and Shipman's Creek. The Loft is a majestic high-ceiling apartment at the top of the mill complete with kitchenette and a balcony view of the woods, creek and falls. Early 1900's furnishings, many for sale, are highlighted within the Mill. Friendly, resident cat welcomes guests. Located in a quiet country setting but close to many local restaurants and attractions including Jack Daniel's Distillery. Advanced reservations recommended. ... more   less
