We had a wonderful 3 days at this farm. The owners and staff were lovely. If you want to get away and ride the countryside with your family and a guide to assist, this is for you. The cottages were sweet and well stocked with food when we arrived. The best thing of all...no phone signal! At first I was...

My boyfriend and I just returned from five days at the Hill Country Equestrian Lodge. I live in NYC, and the peace and quiet of our (immaculate) little cabin was just the escape I was looking for. It's truly beautiful country. The horses grazing freely in the background make it a special place for horse lovers. I am an experienced...

This hidden gem in the Hill Country of central Texas was a true delight and offered us much-needed respite and quiet for a few days. My husband and I originally went to scout out the ranch as a place to bring our horses for a get-away, and it did not disappoint! From our first contact with Diane to our final...

My husband and I had visited the equestrian lodge twice, last May and this March respectively. Thanks to Diane and her crew, we had a wonderful time both times. The ranch is extremely beautiful, the cabins are clean and cozy. Horses are in wonderful shape and well taken care of, they are also very well trained and very responsive to...

My family has been coming to Hill Country Equestrian Lodge for many years beginning in 2004 when my daughter was 9. The ranch and cabins and barn are just as beautiful now as when we first came here. The owners, Dianne and Peter, with their staff, do an excellent job of maintaining everything - down to the smallest details. In...

No phone, no tv, no internet....No Problem!!! HCEL was a breath of fresh air. My only regret is not having spent more time curled up in front of the fireplace! Lots of small details taken care of upon arrival. And the trail riding was good too.

My family recently stayed here for 9 nights. This was our 4th visit to this ranch and we had another wonderful stay. Diane is an exceptional teacher and horsewoman and gives lessons to people of all ages and riding abilities. My children are ages 6 and 9 and thoroughly enjoyed their daily lessons. The girls progressed quickly riding Diane’s excellent...

We have been visiting the stunning Hill Country Equestrian Lodge for many, many years and love it more every time we visit. The owners, Dianne and Peter, are thoughtful, attentive, personable and excellent horsemen. The ranch has a private gate into the neighboring Hill Country State Natural Area, which is a huge Texas State park with dozens of trails for...

I’m preparing for my riding vacation in Europe. I came to the Hill Country Equestrian Lodge for a clinic to improve my English riding skills (lessons in arena and trail ride experience in English saddle). I enjoyed staying at this ranch very much. It is quite and peaceful. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Dianne was a great teacher, there's...
