What a great weekend! We wanted to do something different for my grandson birthday and this was a huge hit. Each day started with a fabulous breakfast and then followed by a horseback trail ride. We went on a total of four rides and each ride was on a different part of the property. During the day we went fishing,...

I wanted to give my 10 year old son an authentic Texas experience, and the Dixie Dude Ranch delivered! We only stayed for the weekend, and could have easily stayed longer. PROS Exceedingly friendly staff Amazing meals Beautiful location No Internet in rooms = reading, outdoor activities and relaxation Horseback riding was fun, different trail each time, and fine even...

We stayed at Dixie dude ranch for five days! In that time we had the most amazing time, the ranch provides you with three home cooked meals a day! There is plenty of it and it all tastes brilliant! The horses are all very well looked after and get to graze all night on the ranch! The rides are about...

Had a great time at this ranch. Accomodation basic but everything you need. Staff really friendly, food fantastic and plentiful. Horse riding for novices like my friend and myself great and varied. My friend lost her iPhone when we were out on a 2hr trek allure holiday pictures lost. Could have been anywhere on the trail, we thought it was...

The ranch is very beautiful and the accommodation is basic but in keeping. Unfortunately it is far from a 'working' ranch and the horse riding was disappointing. The wrangler was grumpy and wouldn't even allow me to stroke the horse I was about to ride! Meals were rushed and very basic. The chicken barbecue consisted of pre cooked chicken pieces...

We were back on the Dixie Dude Ranch this year for a week, for the 2nd year in a row, and we will definately be back again. The people there are so friendly and sweet - home away from home is no lie. The meals are served in the main house where you sit at long tables and therefor also...

If you are after a place to create unique memories with your family, this is it! Switch off the phone, put on your boots and enjoy a wholesome break in the country. The Texas Hills are scenic and serene and a visit here was a unique experience for our family of 4 - 2 Adults and a 6 and 9...

We visited Dixie over the Labor Day weekend. Food was excellent. Accommodation basic - no thrills. Host was friendly and engaging. Plenty to do and see. The fact that the price per night include two horse rides and three square meals (except Sunday dinner), made this a very affordable and fun experience.

I booked a 4-night stay at Dixie Dude Ranch as it wasn't too far from the Alamo, a "must see" for my husband. It was all we imagined; relaxed and comfortable. There were excellent activities arranged in the evening, which we thoroughly enjoyed not to mention the scenic horse rides, walks around the local township of Bandera, fishing, reading etc....
