Found this place on our way back from Caracol Mayan Ruins and stopped for lunch. The place is beautiful. Nice resort oasis in the middle of the jungle. We didn't stay as we already had accommodation but wish we did. The food was the best we have eaten in Belize.

Our family (with kids aged 9, 11 and 13) spent three nights at Blancaneaux Lodge as part of a combined trip with a stay at Coppola's Turtle Inn. We loved everything about it. The transfers were smooth and comfortable, the villa was spectacular, the food was excellent, the scenery stunning, the activities we chose (unguided hike to Big Rock Falls,...

This was the most amazing resort. It far exceeded our expectations. My wife and I stayed at the Lodge for three nights with our two teenage children. We all had a great time hiking, horseback riding, and visiting the Mayan ruins at Coracol. The food was terrific and the staff anticipated our every need throughout our stay. I highly recommend...

Really Special Place with great Staff and Dinners that were some of the best we've ever had. Unique Cabana Rooms. We were right next to the Water Fall which was great for sleeping at night. No Air Conditioning which was not an issue in early December but I suspect would be in the heat of Summer. Nice Warm Pool and...

I was there to relax and read. Had a private yoga class on my deck and it was magical at sunset with the sounds of birds and the river. It gets cool at night so ask for the duvet. You need to make reservations to eat at the small Guatemalan style dining venue they have. A most is the organic...

If you are looking to get away from it all, this is a great choice. Tucked away from the tourists and scene of the coast, this small, exclusive resort is about 3 hours drive inland in the Mountain pine Ridge Reserve, about an hour from the Ecuador border. It is a pristine and well-appointed destination literally in the middle of...

Blancaneaux was amazing. It completely exceeded all of our expectations. Yes, the accommodations were lovely and the food and wine was delicious, but what set Blancaneaux apart from other experiences was the staff. Everything was so personalized and everyone was so thoughtful. And none of the service was overbearing or forced. It felt like we were at our own private...

Not sure I want to tell everyone about this extraordinary get away tucked in the Pine Ridge Forest in Belize. It's nothing short of amazing! Francis Ford Coppola spared no expense and really provides a first class experience to all visitors to this mountain retreat. Cottages offer thatched room, view of river with balcony. Our room had a private pool....

This was our 2nd stop in Belize, travelling from north to south. Blancaneaux was highly recommended so we booked. We arrived by small private plane and the landing strip was alongside the resort. Loved the ease of location. They take your luggage by horsedrawn carriage and i loved this too. Staff friendly and professional. Great check-in. Our double room was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the early 1980s, Francis Ford Coppola visited Belize, immediately fell in love with the location, and purchased the abandoned Blancaneaux Lodge. For more than a decade the resort was used as a family retreat before Francis opened his tropical paradise to the public in 1993. Tucked away in a pocket of the Maya Mountains, Blancaneaux Lodge is a 20-room luxury resort where waterfalls tumble into turquoise pools above the jungle canopy. Its remote mountain setting makes it a perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. ... more   less
