This was a surprise birthday getaway that was quite a treat. Immediately felt welcomed by Karen and Steve. Such a relaxing B&B property steeped in history. Steve and Karen have gone the extra mile to preserve this 129 yo home. Quiet neighborhood for a relaxing night sleep. Food was deliciously prepared by Karen and will keep you going well past...

This is a beautiful time capsule of a bed and breakfast. Steve and Karen are extremely sweet and hospitable! We stayed in the Carleton Room. It was absolutely stunning. Big beautiful room and private balcony! The huge two person jetted tub was perfection. They think of everything from the luxurious sheets to the soaps in the bathroom! Karen is a...

I took my wife for a get away, but didn't tell her where we were going. As we were driving up Main St, she looked at the house and said, "Oh my gosh what a beautiful house." I then turned into the parking lot and she said, "You're kidding me!" She told me I scored huge points by selecting the...

If you are in or around the Bonham, Texas area and looking for a place to stay you might check out the Carleton House Bed & Breakfast. This 3 story Victorian house was built in 1888 and is full of original antiques to the house. The owners, Steve and Karen, have gone to great lengths to fill the house with...

We just returned from a two night stay at The Carleton House for our 34th anniversary. As much as we find Victorian homes fascinating and as much as we enjoyed our stay in the home, we both agree that Karen and Steve, the amazing hosts, are what puts them way over the top as Inn-keepers. They do special things for...

Where to start?! The house is beautiful! The food is amazing. The massage was great. The bathtub in the Carleton suite is incredible. Private balcony was nice to spend some time together alone. The Inn keepers make sure you have everything your heart desires. Upon leaving they even sent us home with cookies and part of a plant off there...

We recently stayed at the Carleton house for one week. I can't say enough about how much we appreciated the whole experience. You could spend days looking at the historical features, furnishings and personal items from the original owners of the home or watching the birds in the beautiful gardens as the roses bloom. The soft music that's often playing...

The Carleton House exceeded all of our expectations. We went for a peaceful relaxing getaway and received exactly that. We reserved the Carleton Suite which is the entire third floor of the main house. The suite has its own sitting room, private balcony, bedroom with a king size bed and private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub for two. Karen made...
