We paid more than we wanted. The rooms were a little older, but was well maintained. We had a kitchenette and a carport. The room had its private AC unit and electrical heater. There is a pool and boat dock on the property. Kayaks had free launch into the lake. The staff was friendly.

Love this place. This is our second stay. Better than last year. Great staff, slip we used for our sailboat had electrical, took our kayaks down the inlet saw lots of birds and beautiful blue bonnets. It's not the newest facility, but it's clean and feels like my Minnesota vacations back in the 70's. beds comfortable and clean. grill is...

John and Donna are like part of the family and Thunderbird is a home away from home. I believe I have stayed in most all of the cabins at least once and each unit holds memories of our children at various ages enjoying the fun, sun, and family time together. It is a true haven for relaxation, fishing and bonding...

My soon to be and I started our adventure at 4am. We drove five and a half hours to check out several venues to have our humble wedding. We visited three possible locales, one of which was the Thunderbird Resort. It almost seemed like fate, our wedding ceremony was set and just a short drive away we would spend the...

Our annual reunion at Thunderbird Resort has been an absolute blast. The lake is refilled and is higher than the year 2010, which has discontinued the burn ban! During our stay, we swam in the pool, went tubing, caught 17 fish, roasted marshmallows, and chilled with the family. I've never felt so eager to leave my phone behind. Everything at...

I recently stayed at the Texan on Thunderbird with 8 family members. We had such a relaxing and fun time. The Texan is absolutely beautiful and was very accommodating. We were able to fish from the front lawn or take the boats out for excellent bass fishing.

We stayed in the 2 queen bed hotel room with kitchen. Very clean, beds not good, not bad. Sheets very crisp and clean. Basic bathroom. Air conditioner unit kept us cool. Great view of lake and dock. We were able to keep our sailboat in a slip about 300 feet from our room. Room had a round charcoal grill with...

Nice, quiet resort. Accommodations were clean. Hard to find with certain gps, If you go, you need to bring groceries as the cabins have ranges and fridges. Set up for several day stays, but we only stayed for the wedding held there. Looks like a fun place to relax. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Great for boaters, fishermen, and...

I've been coming here for 12 years, and out of all the vacations I've been on, the Thunderbird Resort is the one place I have been the most excited about going to. We stay in the same cabin each year (cabin #26) and I have never had a bad experience sense they very first time I stepped foot there. The...

This is like coming home to your family. Very clean and welcoming accommodations. I highly recommend the Thunderbird if you are looking for a cabin in this area. The owners are friendly, family orientated and really want you to feel welcome. Beautiful area.
